A tourist visa is required for Russia! You need to apply for it in advance at the Russian embassy in Japan! It's quite a high hurdle...! And since you can't use Google in Russia, don't forget to prepare a VPN in advance! Russia has a cold image, but it's quite hot in the summer! lol The Hermitage Museum is in St. Petersburg, and Finland is just around the corner! It's hotter than Moscow. As you'd imagine, no English is spoken in Russia! Restaurants don't even have English menus! So I recommend a restaurant where you can point! Borsch and piroshki are a must-try!
