The tomb is located on the west side of Red Square and is an iconic location in Moscow. The remains preserved by embalming since 1924 are still intact in the mausoleum, waiting for visitors to pay their respects. Precautions for visiting Because the tomb belongs to the area on the Red Square, tourists visiting here are not allowed to take pictures. Visitors must line up on the west side of the Red Square (closer to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), and then pass the security check according to the arrangement of the staff. After passing the entrance, you can walk about 100 meters to the tomb of this great man. Tomb Structure The tomb is made of black and red marble and granite. It is T-shaped, simple and solemn. Half of the tomb is underground and the other half is exposed on the ground. There are steps leading to the review platform stone steps on the stable stone base, on which are five steps of different heights and a colonnade composed of 36 columns; the top is a two-step stepped flat roof, here is the review platform. During festivals, troops will be reviewed here, and the platform is flanked by viewing platforms made of gray marble. After walking out of the mausoleum, you can walk along the palace walls of the Kremlin to visit the place where Stalin, Brezhnev, Zhukov and other important figures of the Russian Communist Party are buried.
