We were there on a rainy day, thus not much crowd is seen in the park. Taiping Lake Gardens offers a serene tranquil lake garden ambiance, a place for hang outs, chill, exercise and so much more, away from the hustling and bustling city lifestyle. The gardens boast lush greeneries, vibrant water lilies, flowers, lake views. Beautiful lake and garden that is locals favourite and one of the famous tourist attraction in Taiping, this place is highly recommended for nature enthusiast and photographers! Besides, there are some fun activities that can be done here like boat pedalling or rent a bicycle to cycle around the park! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

I drove a motorcycle to Kuala Lumpur and made a brief stop at the Taiping Highway rest stop. The greening project of the rest stop is quite outstanding, and the surrounding environment is quiet and pleasant. Here I found all sorts of delicious food and drink to satisfy my hunger and thirst. Moreover, the toilets in the rest stop are very clean and sanitary, making people feel comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stop and made the trip more relaxing and enjoyable. ❤️Enjoyed the unique RainTrees Walk where i can see the branches bend over the road and dip into the lake. Now the trees have to be proped up to preserve it. ❤️It is a Good thing that cars are not allowed to drive through under the cars!!! There are many paths for walks, exercise and even bicycles for rent. There are cycle boats for rent to ride on the lake. ❤️This Garden has been well taken care of and lots of beautiful greeneries good for photos. I Saw White flamingos and you can White Dots on trees in the evening when the flamingos nested. Recommend my hometown today •Malaysia•Perak•Taiping• It's a place with a lot of history. There are also many "best" in Malaysia It has the oldest lakeside park (consisting of 10 lakes) There is the oldest museum (previously free but now requires a ticket) It houses the first and oldest prison in Malaysia. The oldest zoo There is the country's first public swimming pool, etc. Not only is the place beautiful, the food is also superb Every time I go back, I gain 1-2-3 kg😂 If you haven't been there, you can consider it. Taiping Lake Gardens was the first public recreation park established in Malaysia and today it remains one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Magnificent rain trees, many over 100 years old, line the lake along Jalan Pekeling, with giant branches extending over the water and providing shade and a peaceful ambience for walkers. The gardens comprise West Lake, South Lake, Jungle Lake and a number of smaller lakes, ponds and islands linked by footpaths and decorative bridges. At night some of the bridges are colourfully illuminated. I've visited this zoo a few times already and it never seems to bore me and my kids. This time i can see they are doing a lot of maintenance work to improve visitors' experiences. So of course this is another reason for me to revisit this zoo in few more months. This zoo is pretty huge, so make sure that you wear proper clothes. There are kiosk that sell snack and drinks inside the zoo. There are also trams if you dont want to explore this zoo on foot. I forgot to take pictures at the ticket counter but the ticket price is very affordable. The price for me, husband and our two kids only cost us RM48. The parking space around this zoo is huge as this zoo located around Taman Tasik Taiping. After your visit to the zoo, you can just chill around the park while watching your kids play at the playground. I'm sure going to visit this zoo again in near future.

One of the best free things to do is visiting parks. Spritzer is a well-known mineral water brand in Malaysia. The Eco Park is just next to their headquarters, very well maintained. There are 18-hole Mini Golf courses, cafe, rare rocks, tree tag walkabout, love locks corner, creative recycled bottles decorations and more. Please be aware of wild monkeys, they could be aggressive. There is a convenient stall selling drinks, snacks and souvenirs, must get a Spritzer drink if you happen to be there. Ample parking space. Obviously a place which attracts a lot of locals - the waters and the pool are attractive. And they are great fun for kids and teenagers to enjoy. constant running water, some pools to submerge in and on a warm day(or indeed any day) they will provide fun and enjoyment. Access could be made easier and it is a pity that the girder bridge which crosses the river is not more attractive. But worth a brief visit - unless you want to go splashing about with your kids. #MyTripVlog

The Perak Museum is a public museum located at the junction of Jalan Muzium and Jalan Taming Sari in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. It is the oldest museum in Malaysia and highlights the history of the state. Very cheap entry with many informative display. Spacious, air conditioned and clean. Can spend a good hour (or more) learning. Love the animal display. I didn't expect a high standard for a small town like this. Hope more people will make it a point to visit so they can keep this going. There's some antique cars and boat display outside. There's a small children's playground that seemed decent (apart from the broken swing) No full stars rating because there was a children's corner but nothing was there. And there wasn't any soap in the ladies toilet. The toilet also has be flushed "creatively ". I don't know why this seem to be a common thing with Malaysian spots. The Christmas decorations here are so beautiful, especially the outdoor plastic transparent bubble tent. There were tiny Christmas trees and a bench inside, but due to the hot weather, we couldn't stay too long inside. I was thrilled to see the Santa Claus and reindeer carriage ride. Looks so real. There are Christmas trees everywhere. I love how festive the park is. It brings so much joy to the visitors. Highly recommended. It has a free entrance. This is my first time visiting a mushroom farm. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about planting mushrooms. She shared with us the whole process from preparation of soil until harvesting. There were so many types of mushrooms, even a pink oyster mushroom, "ling zhi' and rare tiger milk mushrooms. They also sell fresh and dried mushrooms and mushroom products. The ticket price was only RM3, inclusive of a guided tour and complimentary black fungus drink (so tasty). It's unbelievably cheap. Highly recommended. Please avoid visiting during lunch hours (12pm to 2pm). The front gate was closed and you may have to wait in the car under the hot sun. It was so nice to walk around Taiping Zoo. I like the African Savanna the most. Those Giraffes, Zebras, and Elephants were impressive. Upon entrance, I highly recommend to take the tram ride to go one round in the Zoo. This ride will cover all animals and almost all sections. Later, you may walk to the places you want to explore more. There are snacks and ice cream stalls in the Zoo. Must try the Cookies Ice Cream (RM8) and Jumbo Hotdog (RM4), delicious. For kids, there is a playground, even though a bit run down, but still ok and safe to play. If you like to see the animals at night, they have combo tickets for Night Safari, just add a few dollars only. Worth visiting. #2023travelwish We had a wonderful walk in Taiping Lake Gardens admiring the beautiful century-old raintrees. The large trunks of trees growing towards the lake, just like a Ballerina bending her body, so gracefully. I saw the local authority helping to install some metal legs to support the trunks from falling. Hopefully the raintrees stay strong. Many locals are cycling, jogging, and exercising in this lovely serene place. The Pagoda Cina was stunningly beautiful at night. Must try the Milo drink sold by a vendor in the park, it's so good. Plenty of parking here, no hassle, and it's free. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature walks. Next year I wish to travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. ATV Adventure Park Larut serves among the best off-road trails ride ATV. The instructors are certified and qualified to guide us. An adventurous 2 hours. Wonderful guide, his name is Najmi if not mistaken, very patient with my `warga emas’ father. We had a little hiccup on the trail, it was scary moment, he handled it so professionally. Made us all feel comfortable. Even booking was smooth, well explained and informed of everything. Everyone is so nice and friendly that made us enjoy it very much. As a first timers, we all are so happy with this offroad trail experience. Believe me, you will have great and memorable experience while doing this ATV ride here. A day zoo turns into night safari in the evening. Quite a “wild” experience, you can literary touch the giraffe, and buaya are just under your feet. Only wish that overall it can be better maintained, better landscape design while keeping the “wild” factor. The tram driver and visitors should also stop shinning torch light at the lions and tigers and shouting at them.
