☕✨ Cafe Hopping for 1 Day in Johor Bahru, Malaysia – This city isn't just known for its local food, it's also incredibly chic! ✨
If you're in Johor Bahru and can't think of anything else to do besides Legoland or shopping, cafe hopping is a must-do. There are so many chic cafes hidden away, and on this trip, we highlighted three of the best, all within walking distance.
⸻
1️⃣ The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen
• A minimalist black and white cafe with a bright, airy, and ultra-modern feel.
• It's always crowded, so you might have to wait in line, but it's worth it because of the great atmosphere and delicious food.
• They offer an all-day breakfast and a variety of drinks, and the prices are reasonable.
• 🕙 Opening Hours: Mon-Thu 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM / Fri-Sun 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM

2️⃣ Flower in the Window 🌿
• Located opposite the first shop, the atmosphere is completely different! This shop has a warm, vintage style, decorated with plants and earthy-toned furniture.
• It's like sitting in a flower garden, enjoying your cake and taking beautiful photos from every angle.
• Cakes I tried: Matcha Cheesecake, with a rich and rich aroma, and Carrot Cake, which is equally worth a try.
• Healthy drinks, low in sugar (perfect for those who don't like too much sugar).
• 🕙 Opening Hours: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Closed on Tuesdays)
⸻
3️⃣ TIP, The Ice Cream Project 🍦
• A famous homemade ice cream shop in Johor Bahru that's open late into the night.
• The highlight is their freshly made nitrogen-filled ice cream, which has a very smooth and creamy texture.
• The price may be a bit steep (1 scoop = RM18 ≈ THB135), but the quality is worth it.
• The flavor was a bit too sweet for me, but ice cream lovers should give it a try!
• 🕙 Opening Hours: Fri-Sun 1:00 PM - 12:00 AM / Mon-Thu 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
⸻
📌 Tips for Cafe Hopping in Johor
• All three shops are in the same neighborhood, so you can walk right through them. Make it a relaxing day trip.
• Arrive early to avoid the queues, especially at The Replacement.
• Bring some cash, as some shops may not accept card payments.
• Johor Bahru is easy to get to from Singapore. Just cross the border and it takes a short time.
