Canaima National Park is located in the southeastern Venezuelan state of Bolívar. It was established as a national park in 1962, and UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site in 1994. Steep cliffs and extremely high waterfalls are characteristic of Canaima National Park. Canaima National Park is known as the "Land of Waterfalls" because of its many spectacular waterfalls. The most famous is Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world, with a drop of 979m. Devil's Valley is located at the foot of Angel Falls. The soil and rocks of this valley are dark red, so the Indians used to regard it as the residence of the devil. Because the rivers flowing through here are rich in iron, the deposition of iron has stained the soil and rocks red, and you can't help but marvel at the uncanny workmanship of nature.
