[2025 Yufu Stay] Travel Guide for Yufuin Bettei Itsuki (Updated Apr)

This hotel consists of 14 independent cabins, each with a different theme design! 🎀 The cottage we stayed in was called Kodemari and it had two private onsens, one indoor and one outdoor. The details of the room were very thoughtful, like the extra heater in the bathroom, which made our stay very comfortable! The room design is also very high-end, especially the bathroom. There is a long window above the bathroom to let in natural light☀️ One night, two meals 🍚 Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are also served in a private room I'd especially like to introduce dinner: the kaiseki meal in the private room comes with hasun (八寸 はっすん) - a variety of appetizers beautifully decorated on a luxurious plate. The hostel also offers 18-20 free drinks, including alcoholic drinks! The lime sake (25 degrees) tastes very good, it's too much like juice, it's dangerous 🤣 The meal also includes Bungo Wagyu beef - this is beef unique to Oita, Japan. 🌳 Yufuin Bettei Itsuki A ryokan with a detached room and an open-air bath in every room. I went there with high expectations, but First of all, there were very few staff members, so we had to wait quite a while to check in. I had never experienced anything like that before, so at that point I was like, "Oh no...?" As I headed towards the detached room with excitement, I found that the room and open-air bath were much smaller than they had looked in the photos and reviews, and the interior was not very good, or rather, it was tacky and didn't fit in. The room was also quite old, dusty and uncomfortable. . . The moment I entered the room, I wanted to go home. I was soothed by the foot bath after getting my energy back, the food was delicious, and I managed to avoid going home halfway through. However, the price was about 70,000 yen per night for two people, so I would rather stay at another inn. . First time to Yufuin, the environment is very beautiful, although the weather is heavy rain, but fortunately the afternoon weather is good, I went to stay this time to stay in this inn saw many people on the Internet recommended, so of course I have to go to walk, once to the door feels different, like very high-end, then I entered my inn room, really big, and a private open-air hot spring, very comfortable, it also includes a dinner at night (if you need some), menu is really different every month! So by then next month to go may not be the same as those menus in my photo! Next time you come, you must go to this place!

It is not hot spring water, but it is more like tap water, so it is diluted and does not taste like hot spring water. There are individual rooms around the hotel, and there is a tatami living room, a tatami bedroom, and two private bathtubs in the room, so I stayed in a small room. It is cold in winter.
