Hong Kong is better because it is active and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. There are still many country parks that do not hike trails, which can let urbanites rest and breathe fresh air😬 Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road is one of the easier places to get to and with many beautiful flowers!! ️ 🛎️Transportation: Arrive at Tsuen Wan MTR Station, change to any bus🚌 (such as 39M, 30X) to Hong Kong Hospital. Get off and follow the big ramp in Figure 4 up Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road, as its name suggests, can walk into Yuen Long ~ the total length is 15 kilometers, I think the average person will not walk the whole way ❌, because this countryside trail is better in each part / different sections have different views. You don't have to walk to see what you want 😅😅 Today we focus on the flower viewing part. Flowers are mostly found here in Tsuen Wan. ⭐Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road Countryside Trail 📍Tsun Wan ⬇️⬇️⬇️ My boyfriend and I went hiking on the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road Countryside Trail recently when the weather was nice. Although this is a simpler hiking route, there are many ramps, for beginners will have a little snack power, but not difficult at all. The route is not too long, about 3 hours walk, enough water and food 😁 Best of all, there are beautiful landscapes with lots of green trees, grass and mountains. There is also a beautiful sea view to see halfway through, which is very therapeutic. 😍 The end point is Sham Shui Po, you can eat the roast goose before leaving, but we were in a hurry and did not eat it😂 I have the chance to go again next time!

There is a scenic hiking trail from Tsuen Wan to Yuen Long. In fact, you don’t need to hike all the way to Yuen Long. It takes about 3 hours to walk from Tsuen King Circuit in Tsuen Wan to the section in Sham Tseng, and you can already see the beautiful scenery. The route is to go down the mountain from Qingkuaitang halfway to Shenjing. There are many shade trees in the middle, which is suitable for hiking in autumn or winter. Take a taxi to Tsuen King Circuit, opposite the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, which is the starting point of the trail. After walking up a flight of stairs for about an hour, I arrived at an open hill with the city view of Tsuen Wan right at my feet. A little further away you can see the ICC in West Kowloon and the buildings on Hong Kong Island. Occasionally, an airplane would fly overhead, and even the belly of the plane could be clearly seen. From a higher point, you can see the beautiful scenery of Tsing Yi and Lantau Island, and even the Tsing Ma Bridge looks as small as a model. The road from Luoshan to Shenjing passes a farm with a lotus pond and lotus flowers, and you can also see cows. This is an experience that city dwellers rarely have. The whole journey takes about 3 hours at a normal pace. Some sections are a little strenuous. If you walk slowly and take breaks and take photos, it may take longer.

Walk straight up Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road for about two hours to reach the Shek Lung Arch Pavilion, then turn right to reach the top of Shek Lung Arch. You can even wish to visit the Tsing Ma Bridge! This time we introduce a BB-level hiking route, the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road Country Trail between Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long. Last week, the Lunar New Year holiday coincided with many holidays, so we went hiking again. It was a rare good day. We started from Tsuen Wan Hong On Hospital and walked down the mountain in Sham Shui Po. The whole journey took four hours. This route is very friendly to new hikers as it is mostly stone steps, however there is no resupply throughout, so be sure to bring plenty of water! We walked back to Sham Tsai that day, but we can still continue via Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road down to Tai Tong. Tsuen Wan Yuen Tsuen Trail, go up the stairs from Hong Kong Adventist Hospital or Tsuen Leung Garden, the entrance is very clear and you can see it. This time I went out in Tai Tong, first to see the pseudo-red leaves, then slowly walked the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road. Transportation guide - Take bus 39M from Lo Tak Circuit, Tsuen Wan, and get off at the last 2 stops at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital. You will see the starting point of the ancient trail. Keep going up the stone steps, and there will be pavilions for rest every 10-15 minutes. You will also see wooden houses where people live and some where people grow crops. It takes about an hour to reach Shek Lung Arch, where you can overlook the Tsing Ma Bridge. The open view makes you feel relaxed. Go forward another 10 minutes and you will reach the local scenic spot - the abandoned school on Lotus Mountain and the stone slide. If you come here at night, you will be scared to death. 😂 If I went further, I could go to Sham Tseng or the end point of Yuen Long, but I chose to return. Recently, this unique flower was discovered hanging from a tree on the Yuanquan Ancient Trail. Its special shape and clusters of flowers resemble birds resting on the tree, making it a highly valuable sight to behold! Recently, a big tree on the Yuanquan Ancient Trail has grown many Chinese Violet flowers. The flowers grow on each flower cluster, forming a spectacular Chinese Violet waterfall. The unique shape, combined with the green and yellow flowers, feels like a bunch of bananas or a flock of birds, with a very special posture. In addition, Chinese Violet flowers are not common in Hong Kong, so they have attracted many passers-by to take pictures and leave memories for them! Chinese violet, also known as oil vine, blooms from March to April each year. It is famous for its cute bird-like appearance. Its bell-shaped calyx is the "head", the upper lobe is the "wings", and the lower wing lobes and the middle keel lobes are the "body". Recently, a "white Chinese violet" was discovered on the Yuan Tsuen Ancient Trail, which is a local native species and also a rare and endangered species. However, some parts of the ancient trail have now been turned into cement roads for the convenience of hikers. If you depart from Tsuen Wan, after about an hour's walk, you will pass through the 400-meter-high Shilong Arch. This section of the road has a very open view, where you can see Tsing Yi, the Lantau Channel, Ting Kau Bridge, Tsing Ma Bridge, and Lantau Island in the distance. Along the way, you will pass through many villages, including Tuen Mun District's easternmost village, Tin Fu Tsai Village, and Ching Faat Tung Village. When you reach the intersection of MacLehose Trail Section 9 and the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail, you will arrive at Tin Fu Tsai Campsite, where you can take a rest or camp. The scenery of the following section of the road is mainly bamboo forest. Follow the signs along the way to reach Jiqing Bridge, and finally end at Yuen Long Tai Tong. In autumn, Tai Tong Maple Forest is a great place to enjoy the red leaves and the scenery of falling maple leaves. To visit the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail for a countryside excursion, take KMB bus 39M/30/30X/39A to Tsuen Wan Castle Peak Hospital Bus Stop, or take a bus from any district to Castle Peak Road and walk for 20 minutes to Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail entrance at Tsuen Wai Garden. The endpoint can be reached by walking down Tai Tong Shan Road for about 30 minutes to Tai Tong Bus Stop and taking transportation to leave. Starting from opposite the Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital, climb up the long stairs, pass the Stone Dragon Arch, and walk towards Lianhuashan. You will see the symbol of Lianhuashan Public School: a cement slide. Please note that the section from the starting point to Shek Lung Arch is quite physically demanding. There are long stairs at the beginning and the road is very steep afterwards. However, the scenery at Shek Lung Arch is open and you can enjoy the scenery of Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi. Lianhuashan Primary School has been closed for a long time and has merged with nature, but the cement slide is still standing. The hiking route Yuen Tsuen Ancient Road is located in Tai Lam Country Park. This route is about 12 kilometers long. Along the way, you can see the beautiful views of Tai Mo Shan, Tsing Ma Bridge and Ting Kau Bridge. However, if you want to go up to Shek Lung Arch, you must prepare yourself with sunscreen and continue walking down the hill towards Tsuen Wan, as Tsuen Wan has many transportation options.
