"Between the lake and the light, rest your soul for a moment" ☁️🌿|Walking in Yangchun East Lake Park
#Mainland Travel
In the hustle and bustle of the city, I always long for a piece of still water, as calm as the lake in my heart, which can reflect the outline of life and myself.
The clouds were very low when I arrived in Yangchun in the morning, and I stepped into [Donghu Park] with no expectations.
It is not a famous mountain or a big river, but it is the place where the soul echoes the softest
🌾 East Lake is not big, but it has a sense of "just right". By the lake, there are old people walking slowly with water bottles, children chasing bubbles, and lovers looking at each other in silence. Those gentle daily moments float across the lake like the wind.
🌸 The small islands in the lake are connected by a stone bridge, carp are swimming under the bridge, and fallen leaves on the bridge are slowly falling into the water - I stood at that moment, as if disconnected from time, with only breathing and staring left.
If you are tired, this is a silent healing place
There is no excessive tourist noise here, nor stalls selling flashy dreams. Instead, there are royal palm trees and mango trees everywhere, and people walking around the lake in circles. They are neither anxious nor impatient, as if they are pursuing something, but also as if they have already given up asking for anything.
Traveler's Notes:
🕊 Recommended time: 6:30-9:00 in the morning or dusk is the quietest.
📷 Photography inspiration: Try to capture the reflection of the lake from a low angle, or focus on the fallen leaves and light and shadow.
🧘♂️ Suitable for: people who need quiet thinking, walking enthusiasts, photography poets.
My favorite moment:
Sitting on a bench near the lake, I heard an old man doing morning exercises playing old Guangdong Cantonese songs, and a few birds chirping from time to time nearby. The feeling of old time intertwined with the sounds of nature made me suddenly understand the meaning of "slow"——
It’s not about not moving forward, but about knowing how to stop and meet yourself.
In conclusion:
The East Lake in spring will not shock you, but it will "gently embrace you". There, you will find that you don’t need magnificent mountains and rivers. If your heart is at peace, everywhere is far away.
