Wenchang state, located in Dongyang, Guiyang City, was founded in the 24th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1596). Wenchang room is 20 meters high and faces east. There are five wings of rooms that are built on both sides. The wing rooms are connected by corridors, and there are unique mountain garden walls outside. There is an open space outside of Wenchang Pavilion that you’ll see as you approach the place from the entrance along Huaxi Avenue. You’ll be greeted with a block that has 7 core values that everyone must have. As you go up you’ll see an ancient style kind of watch, the sundial. Recently as Yunyan district is promoting a lot of activities and advertising at Wenchang Pavilion, you’ll also see an I love Yunyan background for taking pictures and it lights up at night.
