Or some people already had one but wanted to worship Thao Wessuwan in a statue to worship. So the temple built a statue of Thao Wessuwan and placed it behind the ordination hall. The reason why Thao Wessuwan was placed behind the ordination hall and not as a large statue like other temples is because Wat Suthat is a special first-class royal temple. Building Thao Wessuwan in a smaller size is considered appropriate. The reason Thao Thep Suwan was placed behind the ordination hall was so that people with faith could come in from the front to worship Phra Buddha Trilok Chet, the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, first. Then exit through the back door to pay homage to Thao Wessuwan next.
