- The history of the construction of Wat Sak Yai is still unclear. Some sources state that King Taksin the Great donated his personal funds together with his ancestors in this area to build the temple in 2317 B.E., while some sources assume that the temple was built during the reign of King Narai the Great, based on the characteristics of the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, which is called Luang Pho Yai, and comparing it with official documents from Wat Pleng (abandoned) nearby, based on the architectural characteristics and remaining stucco patterns.
- However, there is still Luang Pho Sukhothai, the sacred Buddha image of the temple, built around 1900–2000 B.E. in the late Sukhothai period. It has a beautiful Buddha image with the face of a woman or an angel, sitting cross-legged in the Mara-Vijaya posture, for devotees to pay homage to.

📞Hello Hello, I heard it and answered.
We continued walking🚶♀️ along the temple along the canal along Khlong Sak, a branch of Khlong Bangkok Noi, to "Wat Sak Yai".
This temple should please the spiritualists very much because the temple is full of sacred objects, both Buddhist and Hindu.
According to history, King Taksin the Great invited Luang Pho Sukhothai, which is about 600 years old, from Wat Yang Pa when he led his army to conquer Chiang Mai. It is a Buddha statue with a very beautiful appearance.
