Temple of the Emerald Buddha, named after the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is a gorgeous and exquisite temple and one of the famous royal temples. Legend has it that in 1434, a lightning strike struck a stupa in the temple, which collapsed to reveal the Jade Buddha hidden inside. Later, the Emerald Buddha was transported to Bangkok and enshrined in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, which is also named Temple of the Emerald Buddha. There is a big Buddha carved from jade in the hall, which was raised by the believers later. It is 65 meters high. The body of the Buddha is translucent emerald green, surrounded by gold, and it looks brilliant and shining. PhraChaoLanThong The temple also houses a 700-year-old PhraChaoLanThong cast by Indian Bala art. It is 3.8 meters high and 2 meters wide. It was built by the Thai royal family to celebrate the birthday of the Queen Mother. It adopts the original Jade Buddha style. Sapphire from Canada was sent to Beijing for carving.
