Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. Sukhumvit is the most prosperous tourist and commercial center in Bangkok. There are many attractions in Sukhumvit. This time I will introduce a one-day tour in Sukhumvit. You can visit and take photos of all the attractions for free 📸, and you don’t need to buy tickets. You need to take off your shoes when entering the main temple building.
Itinerary introduction: First take the BTS Skytrain to Siam Station, then walk a few hundred meters to the first attraction: Wat Pathum Wanaram. Wat Ratchaworawihan is a third-level royal temple. The distinctive feature of the Ratchaworawihan type is the temple located in the city center. It is located between the Siam Paragon and Central World shopping malls and is the dividing point between the two commercial districts in the city center, Siam and Ratchaprasong. The temple was built in 2012 during the reign of King Mongkut. 1857 and 1867, the festivities of the Abbey. Pathum Wanaram is famous for its urban forest also known as "Sala Phra Raja Sattha Forest Park". There are so many tall trees that you can hardly see the surrounding high-rise buildings, just like being in a forest. Therefore it is a place for practicing insight, meditation and listening to the Dhamma. The temple also received the Outstanding Architectural Conservation Award from the Royal Patronage Association of Siamese Architects in 2013. The temple houses Phra Serm and Phra Saen, ancient Buddha images in the Lancang Vientiane style. The ordination hall houses a statue of Phra Sai from Vientiane, Laos or a statue of Malavichai cast by Phra Sai. Both the Buddha images were consecrated during the reign of King Mongkut. Taking photos 📸 will definitely be a hit. After visiting this temple, walk about one kilometer along Sukhumvit Road to another royal temple: Wat Borom Niwat Ratchaworawihan วัดบรมนิวาสราชวรวิหาร. Wat Boromniwat Ratchaworawihan is an ancient temple that has existed since the reign of King Rama IV. The main hall of the temple still retains its original style. A bouquet of crow and swan tail leaves. There is a crown image on the pediment, surrounded by floral designs. Facing north, towards the canal. There are eight directional Sema leaves on the lotus petal base. There is a Buddhist temple next to the glass walls on both sides. It is in the original style, with bouquets, crow leaves and swan tails. Behind it is a white Lanka-shaped pagoda with a square base. The entrance gate is at the rear of the temple. There is a balcony on each of the three sides surrounding the tower, and on the wall is a gilded stucco depicting 80 disciples standing under three layers of royal robes. There is the Uruphong Pavilion outside the glass wall at the back. This is a Thai style preaching hall with a raised platform. A bouquet of crow leaves and swan tails. Inside is a red clay Buddha statue, painted and gilded. Next to it is Kao Mongkol Pavilion. The entire temple building is very beautiful, and taking photos 📸 will definitely be a great idea.
