Pay respects to Luang Pho Ngam and Luang Pho Phet Mee Chai
🏡Wat Mahathat, a royal temple, is an ancient temple that has been a part of Phetchabun province since 1926, built by King Phetchabun, the ruler of Phetchabun.
The interesting features within the temple include:
🙏"Luang Pho Ngam", the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall
🙏"Luang Pho Phet Mee Chai", the principal Buddha image in the vihara
🙏Various Buddha statues, amulets, and other ancient artifacts
🛕A Sukhothai-style chedi with a lotus-bud shape, believed to have been built since the Sukhothai period to enshrine the Buddha's relics, standing at approximately 4 wa (about 8 meters) tall, restored by the Fine Arts Department in 1967
