There's also a hotel shuttle available. The signature "CURIO" logo in the lobby bar is a reminder of the unique design of the Hilton Curio Collection. The main feature of the hotel is a large swimming pool, including an open-air section and a popular grotto pool. There's even a man-made beach in the pool area, creating a lagoon-like feel. 2️⃣ Rooms As a Diamond member, I always receive a pre-arrival call, and on several occasions, I've been upgraded to a Deluxe Garden View Suite. The room is nearly 100 square meters, and while it's called "garden view," it actually offers partial ocean views. The room incorporates local Hainan style, with a large balcony connecting the bedroom and living room. The minibar is free for the first round and includes capsule coffee and Twinings tea. The toiletries are Crabtree & Evelyn, and the bathroom fixtures are Hansgrohe, indicating the high-quality materials used. Additionally, the hotel provides a complimentary goodnight sweet soup and a handwritten card, exceeding the level of service expected at this price point. 3️⃣ Dining This hotel is incredibly generous. Gold members and above receive complimentary afternoon tea for two, dinner for two at the Chinese restaurant, and daily breakfast for two. Afternoon tea is available every day. For example, if you check in on Saturday and check out on Sunday, you'll have afternoon tea on both days. It's a set menu with a choice of two drinks, and the lobby bar offers pleasant views. The complimentary dinner at the Chinese restaurant is equivalent to a set meal for two to three people worth over 200 RMB on Trip.com. This is far superior to pre-prepared meals in a lounge, and both the ambiance and the food are excellent. Breakfast is served until 11:00 am. Since the hotel caters to many tour groups, the breakfast area is usually less crowded after 10:00 am. I recommend choosing an outdoor seat. The breakfast selection is more extensive than expected, with all the standard options, local specialties like Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert), and even made-to-order Eggs Benedict. This resort hotel was beyond amazing…a little bit far from the usual buzz which is amazing for some peace and quiet. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with any needs. Eric worked at the reception and made sure we were well taken care of… The pool had to be the best feature of the hotel for me, it’s built like a cave as if you are in a different environment. it’s beautiful on the inside and the outside🤩.

Although Yazhou Bay belongs to Sanya, it is little known because it is too far from the city center and faces a different direction from other popular beaches. Until last year, Hilton Garden Inn was the only international chain hotel here. Later, a Crowne Plaza opened next door, but it still hasn't made this beach popular. Being quietly beautiful is fine, but this hotel, which offers great value and is quietly elegant, deserves to be better known. First, you need to figure out its long and confusing name. With more than a dozen characters, it's impossible to remember, and it doesn't even mention "hotel" in the name. Then you have to endure its casually designed and somewhat shabby-looking entrance and public areas. The moment you get off the car, you might be discouraged. The lobby has an old-fashioned style from the last century, with a high ceiling and a vast open space. Although it is very close to the sea, you can't see any sea view, which is a design I don't understand. Entering the room is even more confusing. I've seen many hotels with beautiful public areas but perfunctory rooms, but this is the first time I've seen such a complete reversal like Hilton Garden Inn Yazhou Bay. The combination of solid-colored wood and green mountain-and-water tones fills the room with romance, like eating ice cream in summer, very elegant and fresh. The layout includes one bedroom, one living room, and two bathrooms, plus a super large balcony. Even though the sea is still not visible, at least the view is lush and green. The biggest surprise is the complex outdoor pool system. If you come just to swim, you will definitely be disappointed. But if you wade through the water to the cave hidden under the terrace, especially when the dusk lights come on, the light and shadow make it feel even more real, like exploring a secret realm. The sound of dripping water by your ear instantly makes you feel this trip is worthwhile. Breakfast the next day is arranged in the first-floor restaurant. Both the appearance and the dishes are ordinary, with only the chilled sweet soup barely holding up. However, there are seven or eight hot stir-fried dishes, which seems to confirm the rumor that Sanya belongs to the Northeast. Other benefits for members have been greatly reduced, reportedly due to a recent leadership change. Afternoon tea has been changed to a set menu with a few small snacks retained, and the evening happy hour has been canceled and replaced with a 100 yuan restaurant voucher. Another annoyance is that there is no door directly leading to the beach. The hotel is actually separated from the coastline by a street block, and the building orientation is random, so sea view rooms are rare. To go to the beach, you have to take a detour and be fully made up. So it's better not to go. Overall, this is another hotel suitable only for staying indoors, to the extent that you don't leave the hotel or go to the beach and just order takeout. When the sun is strong, stay inside with the air conditioning on; after sunset, lounge by the pool. Even the pickup driver remarked: "It's less crowded than before May Day." This is Yalong Bay in Sanya, where I stayed at the Hilton Sanya Yalong Bay Resort for around 600 yuan during the holiday. [GreatWall] Room Layout: Having switched rooms midway, I experienced both the Garden View Kool Kidz Suite and the Pool Access Room, each with unique features. The Kool Kidz Suite (Super Wings themed) was fully equipped for two children with double sets of plush toys, toothbrushes, towels, bathrobes... even a step stool for the toilet. Both sea view and garden view suites offer this option (approx. +100 yuan, with discounts for extended stays). The suite features an entrance corridor, living room, balcony (twice the size of standard rooms), and bedroom. Being an end unit, it benefits from three-sided natural lighting. Pool Access Rooms are located in Buildings 2 and 3 with direct pool access. However, the bathtub, shower, toilet, and vanity are linearly arranged near the bed, making the space feel somewhat cramped. A plus is the separate walk-in closet by the entrance for convenient luggage storage. The room glass provides excellent privacy - completely opaque from outside even with lights on. There's a children's mock beach in the shallow area, though the sand could use refreshing. It's not noisy or crowded, making it perfect for a quiet getaway. The outdoor pool is ideal for swimming, and you'll practically have it to yourself.
