As I boarded the small boat and gently paddled, ripples spread across the water's surface, and the wondrous picture scroll of Takachiho Gorge truly unfolded before me. Moving slowly forward, with only the murmuring water and occasional birdsong in my ears, the whole world quieted down, leaving only me, the gorge, and the landscape merging into one. Manai Falls was not far away, like a white ribbon hanging from the sky, majestic yet agile. The waterfall cascaded down, splashing water like smoke and mist, forming brilliant rainbows in the sunlight. It was simply stunning. I looked up, letting the fine droplets sprinkle on my face, the cool touch seeming to wash away all fatigue and worries. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, we drove from Kumamoto to Miyazaki. An hour's drive took us to the Takachiho Gorge Third Bridge Parking Lot (free). From the entrance, walk down the downhill stairs for about 20 minutes to reach the trail. The trails on both sides of Takachiho Gorge are not long. Walk slowly while enjoying the scenery on both sides. In about half an hour, you can see the classic boats shuttling through the waterfalls at the viewing platform along the coast. Although we didn't make an appointment for boating, the canyon scenery against the blue sky and green water is definitely worth a visit. #2月好去地方2025
