The Barefoot Cafe is a beautiful courtyard hidden in the tourist heart of Colombo. It’s got such a chilled out vibe: people chatting, enjoying lunch, coffee or cocktails, and a lovely mix of ages and nationalities. All the food was prepared to a very high standard and the staff, although busy, were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The pool area is a real highlight – it’s large and beautifully maintained, ideal for relaxation. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and attended to, from check-in to check-out. The only slight downside was that some services felt a bit pricey, but overall, I’d say the quality and experience were well worth it. The food is tasty and well-prepared. I tried the Oreo shake and KitKat shake; they are absolutely good and worth it. I've tried different shops for these shakes, but none of them are as good. The only downside is that this place is too hot with no air conditioning.

Seema Malaka (Sinhala: සීමා මාලකය) is a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The temple is mainly used for meditation and rest, rather than for worship. Situated in the Beira Lake, the temple was originally constructed in the late 19th century. Seema Malaka is a part of the Gangaramaya Temple and is situated few hundred meters to its east.
