It was a very satisfying accommodation experience. The hotel is a completely new hotel in a newly built building, not a remodeled old building. You can feel the Japanese elegance from the design of the hotel entrance on the first floor. Take the dedicated elevator directly to the counter and lobby on the 6th floor. The service staff are friendly and polite, and provide detailed information about check-in, hotel facilities and services. The lobby is designed in a Japanese minimalist style, with seats for travelers to rest, and tea, coffee, and bottled mineral water are provided for travelers to enjoy. We were very lucky to be assigned a room with a river view of the Tamsui River on a high floor during this stay. The hotel is the tallest building in the area and there are no obstructions around it, so we can clearly see the Tamsui River. It is rare for a hotel in a downtown area to have such a view! The design of the room is both beautiful and practical, with sockets everywhere, meeting the needs of modern people for using technological products. The shower room, toilet and washbasin are separated to increase efficiency. There is a small sofa and a small round table next to the window, where travelers can rest, eat midnight snacks, and enjoy the beautiful river view outside the window! The mattress is firm enough and provides support when sleeping. Four pillows and two small pillows are provided, which shows the hotel's attention to detail! It is worth affirming that there is no peculiar smell in the hotel from the staircase hall, lobby to the room, and there is even a faint fragrance, which once again shows the importance Japanese hotels attach to the travelers' stay experience! Stayed at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen’s Triple Room in December 2023! This hotel was newly opened in August 2023. The highest floor available for Triple room type was on level 21. The room was really spacious for 3 grown ups. Pros: 1. Walking distance to Ximen MRT exit 6 2. Ximending shopping is on the left when you exit the hotel 3. Clean and comfortable hotel 4. Very quiet, you do not hear any sound from the corridor in the bedroom. 5. You can enjoy unlimited coffee and bottled water at the hotel lobby! 6. You get to AirPlay with the TV but the wifi connection isn’t the strongest to load and watch a show Cons: 1. No tissue paper provided in the bathroom, unless you request for it. 2. You need to take 2 lifts before getting to your hotel room. First lift gets you from Level 1 to Level 6. Then you need to walk all the way in to get to the hotel room’s elevator I can neglect the mentions Cons and will love to be back to Solaria! #freehotelstay
