Smart Coffee is a very retro coffee shop, and having breakfast with a traditional coffee shop menu has become a staple when I go to Kyoto 😋 However, it's been getting a lot of tourists lately, so I recommend going early 🥺 (In the spring, I gave up after not getting in on the first round) In early January, it opens at 8am, but I arrived about 5 minutes before and was the first one there! It was a winter weekday in Kyoto, so I think it was okay to go right when it opened◎ By around 8:30, it was almost full, so if you want to make sure you go, I recommend going before it opens! The things I want to eat again and again are the traditional pancakes and egg sandwiches 🥹✨ The egg sandwiches with a hint of mustard are also exceptional...! I want to eat the bread while it's still fluffy♡😋 This time, I entered the store with a stroller, but since I was the first one there, they let me sit in a seat where I could put the stroller🙇♀️ They say they will put jam on the toast, but since my child is 4 years old, they served it separately when I asked. As always, they are very kind🥹🙏🏻 The last time I went during the cherry blossom season, I arrived 5 minutes before opening, so I gave up just in time to get in... The French toast is incredible. They have nice varieties of sandwiches. Neat little place inside too - they've got a roaster right near the front where you can watch them roast beans, and the decor/look of the interior is nice and classy. An affordable price of around 1500 yen per person. The egg toast and mixed eggs and veggie sandwich were great too! we tried their hot chocolate and coffee which were nice, but for the first time, I tried hot orange juice, which was a different experience! Our only concern was that it's a smoking place. The queue is quite long as it opens, but if you go a little late, you could be lucky and miss the queue! #japantrip #breakfast #deliciousfood

Restaurant Name: Smart Coffee located at Teramachi Senmontenkai Shopping Street The must order is French Toast! It was crispy outside and soft inside. The egg taste is strong and delicious with honey. The omelette toast is nice too and toast is crispy. Omelette is fluffy and juicy! last but not least, their caramel pudding is nice and not too sweet! Overall very good experience for breakfast and the table is limited so please go early!
