My visit to Porto was a wonderful experience full of magic and beauty. The city is famous for its historical beauty with narrow streets and colorful buildings along the Douro River.
I enjoyed learning about how Porto wine is made, tasting different varieties, and visiting wineries. The experience was fun and informative.
I also walked around the old districts such as the Ribeira area, which is very lively and vibrant. The local food, especially the seafood and traditional dishes, was delicious.
I recommend everyone to visit Porto and enjoy its beauty and unique culture. It is a destination worth discovering! 🍷🏞️

Porto is famous for it’s tiny blue tiled walls that are dotted in various places all around the city. These tiles form part of a bigger mural that depict a scene in the story of Portuguese culture. They are fascinating and they are beautiful, lighting up this already charming city. Make sure you add this to your itinerary whilst visiting Porto!
I hope you enjoy Porto as much as I did.

Porto - A summer story
#summerdestinations
They call Portugal the world's most welcoming country. At least, i do...Porto or Portugal is a charming little country that makes for an excellent summer destination. The beaches of Portugal are some of the best found in Europe. It will sweep you off your feet.
I spent 5 days visiting different beaches and none of them failed to amaze me; one even had a church on it. Seen anything like that before? You can also go on a day trip to Aveiro to visit the most colorful town you can imagine! Don’t forget to go for a swim too; it is not every day that you get to swim in the Atlantic ocean. If you are not keen to go far by train, go for Porto’s ocean walk and their old tram. You might even spot one or two lighthouses.
I chose Porto as the base of my trip to Portugal. From there I was able to go on smaller and bigger day trips. I stayed at a local hostel and had the most amazing time socialising. Plenty of nice stay options. My hostel was even just a few steps away from the Capela das Almas de Santa Catarina, one of Porto’s most famous sights.
To think of it, Portugal is truly one of the most amazing places for travelers seeking variety. My time in Porto was filled with marvelous architecture, delicious food, breathtaking beaches and Pastéi de Nata, a traditional Portuguese pastry. Try it once and Portugal will forever have a special place in your heart.
