Getting There - You can either take the train from Shanghai to Wuyi or a car/bus. 🚄 Attractions - Wuyi had amazing hiking trails and many waterfalls. 🥾 It was a wet and cold morning but nothing was going to stop me from a little hiking. The hike has many stairs and it’s fairly safe. The views are amazing and really breathe taking. ⛰ When you finally reach the top you can see the view from a glass bridge, if you’re looking to leave escape the big City this is the perfect place to get a little reboot. 🌉 I would suggest going with a tour group to do the hike or with a group that you see at the location. Dining recommendations: At lunchtime, we accidentally found a restaurant in Wuyi County that was both affordable and delicious. Please see the attached picture for the specific location. Accommodation experience: We chose to stay at Niutoushan Meng Hot Spring Hotel at night. But to be honest, the hotel facilities are a bit old, and the check-in experience is average. The hot spring area is open from 6 pm to 11 pm. We wanted to relax, but the time was limited. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel serves dinner until 8 pm (the specific time depends on the number of guests). As for breakfast, except for a few stir-fried dishes, most of the other dishes are semi-finished products heated up, and the taste is average. Niutoushan highlights: Niutoushan National Forest Park has beautiful scenery, and the Golden Lock Bridge is built between the cliffs. Those who are afraid of heights need to muster up the courage to move forward because there is an abyss under the bridge. Continue upwards, and you will find the Yixiantian Scenic Spot, where more than 300 steps are almost vertical, which is quite exciting. In addition, there is a glass plank road for tourists to challenge, but I didn't experience it because I was afraid of heights. The Taoist temple on the top of the mountain is still under construction, and the distant mountains are covered with snow, which is very beautiful. During the May Day holiday, there were quite a few people at the entrance, but once inside, everyone moved at different speeds, so it didn't feel crowded. The entire scenic area is very well maintained, the water is very clean, naturally formed blue-green water bodies can be seen everywhere, very beautiful.
