We had a great day out at Lotus Mountain Scenic area, the weather was perfect and we got at least 15,000 steps in walking around all of the things to see. The Swallow cliffs and ancient quarry were amazing and vertigo inducing if you are scared of heights. After the cliffs we walked up to the large temple and over to this beautiful tall pagoda. There were lots of year of the rabbit decorations around and lots of flowers and plants.

The Lianhua Mountain Scenic zone was way bigger and more impressive than we were expecting. It cost 40 Rmb for entry and we walked around instead of taking the bus for 10 rmb. The ancient quarry area was spectacular and unlike anything ive seen. The quarry has been used for over 2000 years to provide stone fror nearby important Panyu buildings. The shapes cut into the rock give it a really cool look.

This time we are going to introduce the Lotus Mountain Tourist Area located in Panyu, Guangzhou. The tourist area is very large. In addition to hiking and enjoying the scenery of the park, there are also temples in the park to worship. But this is a fee-based park, with adult tickets costing about HK$50 and children half price. Lotus Mountain or Lianhuashan, 莲花山, is the site of an ancient quarry in Panyu, Guangzhou. Stone was cut from the imposing cliffs here for centuries but it is now a garden. There is also a Qing Dynasty fort, as this was a strategic point guarding the Pearl River and the approach to Guangzhou; ultimately the detachment here failed to stop the British from sailing up river and sacking the capital. The fort includes a stone labyrinth that was used for troop training. With the Qing guards gone, the river is now watched over by a huge golden statue of Guanyin. Finally there's a pagoda which you can climb to the top of, unlike most others in Guangzhou. After a morning hike through the surrounding hills, I arrived at this serene resort, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant blooms. The air was filled with the sweet scent of lotus flowers, and the tranquil atmosphere was a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. I strolled around the resort's picturesque grounds, taking in the stunning views and admiring the beautiful landscaping. I felt refreshed and revitalized, with the resort's peaceful ambiance and natural beauty working its magic on me. The spring sunshine and gentle breeze added to the sense of relaxation, making it a fantastic spring getaway!
