Chongqing city , 重庆🤎 Really impressive cyber city which you have to put in your itinerary in China ! Here are some places which I recommend in Chongqing city, Part 1 : 1. Shibadi old street (十八梯) - Beautiful streets and nice shops , you can easily spend around 2 hours there.Quiet and charming in the early morning , also much less tourists, becoming more crowded around 10 am. 2. Kuixinglou building (魁星楼) - Building where it feels like that you are on the first floor but in fact you are on 22nd floor and at 8th at the same time. Possible to walk from Shibadi 👆🏼around 20 minutes. 3. Chongqing Luohan temple (罗汉寺）- Absolutely stunning temple not so far from CBD busy district and surprisingly not touristic and crowded at all! Entrance fee is 20¥/person. Highly recommended, one of the most beautiful temples I ever saw. 4. Liziba monorail station (李子坝轻轨站) - To watch how the train goes through the building (every 6-10 minutes). 5. Jiefangbei CBD street (解放碑) - Just to walk around city center , really nice in the evening when the lights are on. 6. Long Men Hao Old Street (龙门浩老街)- Beautiful old streets with nice views on the bridge and river. A lot of small coffee/tea shops and some famous picture spots. Recommending to try «Maque 麻雀» cafe 🍵 7. Hongyadong caves (洪崖洞)- For the best neon lights view in the evening but expect huge crowds around 7:30 pm when lights are on. Also possible to come inside for some famous hot pot dinner or street food. 8. Hot pot 火锅- Try famous Chongqing spicy hot pot 🌶️. Recommending to try Peijie Hot Pot (珮姐老火锅). Ask for two flavored hot pot (鸳鸯锅) and for the spicy pot ask for the least spicy one(微辣). 9. The Ring Mall (光环购物公园) - Quick walk through indoor forest. 10. Guangying Bridge (广迎桥) - Beautiful spot for skyline pictures but gets pretty crowded in the evening. For the first time visit I would recommend to stay near Jiefangbei area. We stayed in ASPERA hotel and everything what we wanted to visit were in the walkable distance. Subway also just 7 minutes away. They installed a special type of noise-reducing device that will be turned on when the train is about to arrive at the station It helps reduce the noise from the train to the same level as the sound of a dishwasher 75.8 decibels only. Chongqing has sealed the travel destination deal with the Liziba Station. It's something you'd think you could only see on TV in an action movie. We went there as our last sightseeing activity just before leaving Chongqing and it was definitely a great way to bring the curtains down. Address - The sightseeing platform is located at 62 Lizibazheng Street, Yuzhong. I took a Didi there but you could also take the Subway to Line 2 and get off right where the action is. Ambiance/Facilities - The sightseeing platform is located right below the building/train station. It gives a beautiful view of the trains as they enter and exit the office building. Many people were there but the view was clear due to how high the building is. It made us feel lucky to be able to capture such magnificence without being obstructed by fellow enthusiastic visitors. You could also go inside the building to the 5th floor to get a closer look at the train. You'll also get to see the scenery of the river and the buildings below. Highlight: We were able to see the trains exit and enter the office and residential building 🏫, which was just magnificent to behold. Trains came and went every 8 or so minutes (could be less) and sometimes two even passed at the same time😍😍. There were photographers on spot to help us capture the moment. We got 3 photos for 68 yuan in total and we were able to retake them if we weren't pleased. The area is also a commercial building that hosts a tourist center where tickets to various attractions can be bought. There were also many gift shops where we bought souvenirs, and the interior walls of the building also had paintings of famous landmarks in Chongqing. It was a delight. There's also a food court on the second floor where we bought smoothie and dinner before we left. Avg. Price per Person - FREE, FREE, FREE, but if you can, take money to purchase souvenirs at the gift shops upstairs. From the city center of Chongqing, you can catch the metro by getting a metro card from a machine (translates to English) for a one way ticket to Liziba station. The metro line is simple and easy to use. It cost me 4¥ for 2 travellers to travel from Linjiangmen to here. The train goes right into the building which you can see in the pictures. Follow the many stairs down to the viewing platform (do not bring small children or a push chair as there is no elevator) and you can view the train going straight into the station. The wait time between the trains each way is around 2-4 minutes. Dream mountain city, light rail passes through the building🚉 This is the legendary Liziba Light Rail Station, one of the most popular internet celebrity check-in spots in Chongqing. I recommend a few good places to take photos: 1⃣️Exit A of the subway station, which is the Liziba viewing platform. It is also one of the most famous viewing spots. It has a wide location and a good view. 2⃣️A relatively niche location, you need to come out of Exit B, walk along the road for about 300 meters on the right side, and find a stone table where you can get close to the light rail.
