#aprilblooms #hiking #kings cross #kingscross #coalyards This is located on the canal. and makes for a lovely walk in spring and summer. the coal yards used to be where the coal was transported into London via the canals but since the introduction of gas for heating the coal yards pretty much ceased to be relevent. they also housed the gas for the local area. and these too have fallen out of use. The entire Kings Cross and Dt Pancreas underwent large redevelopment which turned a prostitute and drug ridden place into a new modern development with shops and weekly markets. it's definitely bought some new life to the area and reduced the dangerous elements. it's worth a visit. as the designs incorporated alot of the old structures while keeping to the aesthetics.
