#thailandtrip I recently took a solo trip to Hatyai, and it was a great experience. I started my day by visiting the Morning Market called Kim Yong Market. They had a lot of nuts, especially almonds, sold at very cheap prices, and they were freshly baked too. After that, I had brunch at McDonald's and tried the Samurai Pork Burger. It’s not available in Malaysia or Singapore, so I was excited to try something new, and it tasted great! Then, I went shopping at Big C, where I bought snacks as souvenirs for my family and friends. For lunch, I stopped at Inter Pork Leg with Rice (Go Chew) and tried their famous pork leg rice, which was really tasty. After a short rest at the hotel, I went out for dinner at Rinam Seafood Mookata Buffet. There were so many choices of meat and seafood, and the price was very affordable. Kim Yong Market is a place where you can find everything. Souvenirs, dried goods, dried fruits, food, and even lottery tickets that are uniquely arranged, though I never win when I buy them. 😭 You must try the Tao Kua near the market sign, but it wasn't impressive. The chicken rice was chewy and delicious, and the grilled red chicken was sweet. After that, take a stroll around the market to see the Hat Yai Clock Tower. The buildings are different from those in Bangkok. There's also the nearby Chue Chang Temple, which is grand but seemed closed inside, so I only walked around the outside. Up close, it looks even more magnificent. Then it was time to eat again. We went to Chokdee Dim Sum, and the Bak Kut Teh was delicious. After that, we returned to eat rice porridge from a red truck and meatballs in front of the market, recommended by locals. 😁
