With barely any crowds, I had the beach almost entirely to myself, making it the perfect place to unwind and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of my trip was exploring Koh Kood’s hidden waterfalls. Khlong Chao Waterfall, tucked deep within the jungle, was a true tropical oasis. The short trek through dense greenery led me to a cascading waterfall plunging into a cool natural pool. I couldn’t resist taking a dip in the refreshing water, enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature all around me. To get a feel for local island life, I visited Ao Salad, a charming fishing village on the northeast coast. Wooden houses on stilts lined the waterfront, and colorful fishing boats bobbed in the harbor. I stopped by a small seafood restaurant where I savored freshly grilled prawns and steamed fish with lemongrass, all caught just hours before. The slow, laid-back rhythm of life here was infectious, making me appreciate the simple pleasures of island living. As the sun began to set, I made my way to Bang Bao Bay, a secluded cove known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. The sunset here was nothing short of magical—golden hues reflected off the water as the sky transitioned into shades of pink and purple. I waded into the warm, shallow waters, letting the last light of the day wash over me, feeling completely at peace. Koh Kood is the kind of island that feels like a well-kept secret, untouched by mass tourism and brimming with natural beauty. The round trip fare is 1,200 baht per person. Parking for 3 days 2 nights is 200 baht. The boat will take us to Koh Kood, which takes about 1 hour. The boat will dock at Ao Salad Pier. After getting off the boat, you can inform the staff (wearing green shirts) of your accommodation where you are staying. The staff will inform you of the car number you will need to take to the resort you booked. 🛖 This time we stayed at Koh Kood paradise Beach Resort (2nd time already). Beach Front room. Our accommodation price during the time we came was high season (6,800 baht / night, breakfast included). After checking in, we rented a motorbike from the resort for 300 baht per day. It was very good value. We recommend this. 🛶 The first place we will take everyone to is to paddle board. We rode a motorbike for no more than 10 minutes to Mangrove bungalow & restaurant. This place is near Klong Chao Beach. We can rent a kayak to paddle, see the beauty of the mangrove forest, and paddle to Klong Chao Beach. The rental fee is 200 baht per hour (for 2 people). 🌴Point 2 Twin coconut palm tree, a pair of coconut trees at Klong Chao Beach. These two coconut trees are in the area of ​​​​Home Season Pool Villa & Spa, Klong Chao Beach, located on the west side of Koh Kood. It is a white beach about 600 meters long. You can swim. Anyone who likes waterfalls is definitely here. ☕️ Point 6 Viewpoint cafe, stop by and take everyone to sit and chill at a cafe before checking into the accommodation. Here, there is both food and drinks. It is open from 9 am to 9 pm, the atmosphere is very good. The shop is located on the banks of Khlong Chao and is the point where the water from Khlong Chao flows into the sea. Which is considered another charm of Viewpoint Cafe that will make us see many types of views, both Khlong Chao beach views, mangrove forest views, and what is unique is that you will get to see the view of Khlong Chao, which is a curve of water flowing into the sea.
