In the quaint neighbourhood of Bishan, there is a small cafe that sells Kyushu pancakes and other western fusion delights! The space in the cafe itself is quite small so I often see a queue along the outside. Takeout might be better for those who aren’t able to wait. In terms of the food, it tastes fairly decent but not the best I’ve had. Plus they’re a little pricey too for the quality they serve. But the chocolate cookie milkshake was nice! There are many egg tart shops in Singapore but one of ny favourite is Joy Luck Tea House which is located at basement 1 of Junction 8 shopping mall. Once at the shop, you will see rows of glorious egg tarts, Hong Kong pastries and their famous polo buns. They serve 2 kinds of egg tarts, the flaky type and the other with cookie base. Both are equally good! Their crispy polo buns comes with different variations and you can either have it plain or stuffed with luncheon meat or roasted chicken. Just yummy! The shops sells drinks too and I would recommend getting their milk tea. It pairs so nicely with the egg tarts and polo buns. As usual, I would always get their egg tarts and I m pretty sure you will get some too. Enjoy their lovely egg tarts and other Chinese pastries! #tripblazers #foodie

Shake shack, the famous fast food joint from New York has recently opened another outlet at junction 8 shopping mall. This new shake shack joint has just opened last October and it is a 2 storey high eatery serving all your shake shack favourites. The place is spacious and you can find items exclusive to only junction 8 outlet, such as their "who 8 my cookie" concrete, which is an ice cream dessert. Shake shack is still famous for their crinkle cut fries with cheese sauce and their different types of burgers. My personal favourite is their double shackburger with 2 juicy beef patties and stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes and their special shacksauce. Their milkshakes are just as good and I love their 'black & white' which is a mixture of chocolate and vanilla milkshake. So rich and creamy! Beers and wines are also served at their outlet and lemonade, etc. Shake shack never disappoints! #newyearadventure

The only restaurant that bring china vibe because of its interior set up with lantern decor. It got nice ambience and affordable price. Located at Junction 8 basement, Bishan, Singapore. Very convenient to go because its near MRT, in shopping mall and near with supermarket, although not easy to spot because it is at the corner end. I like their affordable porridge, can takeaway without any additional price. It has ginger, meat and eggs. Very rare in Singapore that porridge/congee mix with ginger. Nice and healthy. #musteat One of my favourite places go chill out and have a good meal and drinks is at Coffee Bean at Junction 8. The cafe has an extensive menu which includes ice blended drinks, hot expresso/latte/Americans and non caffeinated drinks such as Vanilla Sunrise and Malibu Dream. They serve many different kinds of pastries and cakes available as well and my favourite is the carrot cake and new york cheesecake, their sliced cakes are generous in size. The cafe has a nice decor and has many seats available as well where you can enjoy your meal and drinks in air-conditioned comfort. The staff here are friendly as well!

They have many branches all over Singapore and the reason why they’re so popular is because they serve affordable barbecued meat sets. The set is quite filling and very worth it. One drawback though is that you do get what you pay for. The quality of the meats aren’t fantastic and some of them can be somewhat chewy and tough. The popular bubble tea chain is a well-known Taiwanese beverage chain founded in Taichung, Taiwan in 2013 which has since then rapidly expanded to over 300 outlets around the world including Japan, Korea, France, Australia, USA, and finally to Singapore. The concept is quite interactive in that after diners order their food, a train will bring the order right to the diners’ table and they will have to take it off the train before it zips back. Food is nice and fairly affordable too! The ambience resembles those dine-and-go restaurants where people don’t really linger for the ambience. Swensen’s is a hidden gem family restaurant that are known for their ice cream and ice cream cakes! Much of its decor is inspired by the classic American diner, but a more contemporary version of it. Mister Donut is a famous Donut shop that originated from Japan and they are famous for their pon de ring Donut- a Donut with a slight chewy texture, like a mochi. Be amazed with the selections of donuts. They have different types of pon de rings, melt in the mouth donuts and crullers, etc. Mant flavpurs are available too. A box of 6 donuts cost $14 and I thought it's pretty reasonable for high qulity japanese donuts. The queue outside the shop may get long sometimes but otherwise pretty fast moving. My friends and I tried the Wagyu beef stew and the pork belly dons! Wow, the fatty parts were really melt in your mouth soft, very delicious. It’s great how it is conveniently located right opposite the Bishan MRT station and Junction 8 Shopping Centre. I recommend that you come in the evening when the weather is cooler and the pretty fairy lights are switched on! One thing is that there isn’t much space in the shop so it can be quite a squeeze if there are too many people inside. The first thing that caught my eye was the claw machine with super cute stuffed toys in them. The staff there were also giving out free balloons with fairy lights to people walking past, really pretty and much longer-lasting than typical helium balloons. They also gave out stickers of their adorable tiger and bunny mascots. Head down asap for some fun and freebies!
