One of the most unique eating concepts is "Three Ways to Eat Eel", which is based on the Kansai grilling style and involves charcoal grilling the eel! The whole process of eating eel three times is very special. First, divide the eel rice into three portions. The first portion is to enjoy the original flavor of the eel itself, the second portion is to taste it with wasabi and green onion as condiments and eat it with eel sauce rice, and the third portion is to pour tea or soup on it to make tea-soaked rice or soup rice! Nagoya Castle + Cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and since it was a festival period when I went, there were various food trucks and they rented out mats for free, so you can sit anywhere and enjoy. The inside of the building was just opened to the public, so the line was so long that I couldn't see the inside. 2. Sakae Station + There are department stores and several shopping centers that I know gathered at Sakae Station, so it's really great for shopping. There are also many restaurants and cafes. 3. Ghibli Theme Park+ If you like Ghibli movies, it's a really fun and great place, but if you don't know much about Ghibli movies, it's just a park. [Recommended Places] ☕️1. Kitsa Matsuba 喫茶 まつば+ If you go to Nagoya, you absolutely must eat the morning set, which is delicious and cheap, and toast is definitely added. The price is reasonable, so I recommend adding toppings and eating generously. 🍖2. Ramuchii Kurobutaya らむちぃ + miso pork cutlet is incredibly delicious. Even if you go at an awkward time, there is a long wait, but the turnover is good, so it is worth the wait. 🍜3. Tsukishima Monja Okoge Ei + Monjayaki restaurant. #February Good Places 2025 Last time I went to Nagoya, I finally tried the famous eel dish. I chose Hitsumabushi Bincho. They specialize in eel rice (ひつまぶし). 🐟What is the full package? This package is eel-themed from start to finish, with no cold spots at all: ✅ Eel bone (crispy and crispy, great as a snack) ✅ Eel white grilled (purely charcoal grilled original flavor, feel the oily aroma of eel) ✅ Eel cooked with sashimi sauce (traditional sashimi method, sweet and rich sauce) ✅ Eel Rice Three (Classic Hitsumabushi eating, original / with onion mustard / add broth to become tea-soaked rice, each is a different level of enjoyment) There are some small things not to mention you can see the picture 🍚 The portion is huge! Keep your belly! I already know that Hitsumabushi is larger portions, but this whole meal is really super filling, eat to the end feel a bit full to the sky, it is recommended to leave a stomach space before going, or two people share a package would be better! 🎯 Summary: Worth a try! If you are an eel lover, this restaurant is definitely worth trying. The charcoal grilled aroma is super strong, the sauce is not too sweet, and each dish shows the effort. The only thing to note is the large portion, be mentally prepared before eating! It was located on the 7th floor of the specialty store Lachic in the Nagoya Mitsukoshi Sakae store, a 3-minute walk from Sakae Station. I went there at the end of lunch, so I was able to enter without waiting. The interior of the store was clean and relaxing. Other people's reviews said that there was a line, so I recommend going at a different time. I ordered hitsumabushi and it was very delicious.
