Talking about long holidays, I must say that I am one of those who want to go on a quiet vacation with few people, and most importantly, not lonely and with nature.
And when it's a long holiday, we can travel further. From Bangkok, head to Betong. But we can't go straight to Betong, because Yala has many beautiful places. And one of them is Koh Chamit at Ban Santi 2.
This small island is located in the middle of the river in Halabala Lake.
It is an island with many outstanding features, both clear water, looking deep blue. In the evening, there is a place to watch the sunset and sunrise. In the morning, there is a camping ground on the island. There are bathrooms, a kitchen, camping equipment for rent, and a boat to pick up and drop off.
As for those who are afraid of being lonely, there are activities to do as well. Rafting around Koh Chamit, playing in the water, jumping into the water to your heart's content, or taking a relaxing boat to the clear water canal at the end of Halabala Lake to see giant trees.
Travel: If you go from Bangkok, take a plane to Hat Yai, take a van to Betong, get off at Bang Lang Dam. (It is recommended to contact Koh Chamit first so that you can arrange a pick-up and drop-off point to go to the island.)
Coordinates: Koh Chamit, Ban Santi 2, Mae Wad Subdistrict, Than To District, Yala Province

Hala Bala
Halabala, the last forest at the end of the axe handle
This is a wildlife sanctuary covering the areas of
Yala (Hala) and Narathiwat (Bala)
including Malaysia
It is a tropical rainforest with abundant biodiversity
and has been nicknamed the “Amazon of Asia”
In addition, this place is also home to rare wildlife
such as storks and black gibbons
There are many hiking trails to the viewpoint
This time, we chose the “Khao Phaeng Ma” trail
which requires walking along the country’s boundary marker
Another highlight is the “Sampong” tree or the giant Kapong tree
It is said to have a diameter of over 25 meters
It stands tall at the entrance to the Narathiwat forest
People don’t usually come to hike here, probably because of the long distance
and the unrest in the South
But when you really get down to it, this area isn’t as scary as you might think
People seem friendly, they make a living like other places
and live peacefully in harmony with nature

Visit Koh
Visit Koh Thuat, entrance fee 20฿/person, charter a boat that can seat 10 people for 1000฿, about half an hour. The view is very beautiful, the water is clear and quiet. On the island, there is Thuat Bukia, who is respected and Malays often come to ask for blessings. It is located at Halabala Park, Tharatho District, Yala Province.

Waeng District, Narathiwat Province
Many people think that Waeng District is a mountainous area with nothing interesting. Waeng District, Narathiwat Province has beautiful waterfalls, clear and cool water, beautiful green areas, and mountains surrounding it. It is very suitable for relaxation. The local people are lovely. Even though they speak different languages, they can still find a way to communicate with us. It was an impressive experience from the first time and I think I will go down every year.
