The Five Dragon Pool (五龙潭), is located in the heart of Shandong Province's Ji'nan. Accessible by both car and bus, it is literally located across the street from the famouse Baotu Spring Park, therefore it is easy to do both attractions on the same visit. Once inside, you can take a leisurely stroll around the central small lake area along with the interesting collection of pavilion structures here. I was amazed by the amount of beautiful statues this park has to offer. The star of the show is the aforementioned Five Dragon Pool, complete with 5 seperate fountains. If you are on a city tour, then this is an essential place to visit and can easily be completed in 30-45 minutes. Five Dragon Pool Park. This is very famous place in Jinan City. Well, I would like to start from my telling that Jinan is the city of many springs. Briefly, the water from melted snow is going through the mountain soil and being filtered by this way going deep underground. Further, accumulated below it is going up and reward Jinan with Cristal clean fresh water through numerous springs scattered around and inside of the city. In the morning, I walked to Five Dragon Pool Park (free admission), which features over 20 spring pools with crystal-clear water. Despite the light rain, strolling around and taking photos was quite enjoyable as there were few visitors. The park offers a serene garden and water landscape, making it a comfortable place to explore. I spent about an hour and a half there before leaving. Next, I walked across the street to Baotu Spring (admission ¥40), one of Jinan's top three must-visit attractions. Even in the rain, the site was crowded with tourists. The clear spring water was indeed beautiful, but the heavy rain caused poor drainage, leading to water accumulation everywhere. Additionally, the pathways were not well-marked, so I had to rely on navigation to roughly cover the park.
