#thingstodo Beautiful cable car ride up the mountain. We went snowboarding at Grindelwald First. It was an incredible experience! I highly recommend checking out Grindelwald First, whether it is sightseeing or snow activities. You won't be disappointed This was such a cool experience!!! My husband is scared of heights but he was very brave and I don’t think he regrets doing it. It seems very safe and structurally sound, the bridge does sway as you go across it. The views are breathtaking here and if no one is around it is so quiet! I really enjoyed the experience and it ends up at the restaurant and the store which is cool, you can only go in one direction so if you want to do it again you can just loop around. They say the full loop takes about 20 mins and I think that’s about right. It doesn’t cost to do this when you get up to the first, so you can do it all you’d like! Amazing place to check out. You do need to spend about 85 swiss $ to get to the top but you can get there by hiking for free I think. Make sure you get tickets to the cart ride or any adventure ticket because they sell out fast and close early

The First Cliff Walk is a steel bridge made by Tissot, a famous Swiss luxury watch brand. It is 45m long and built along the First Cliff. If you walk on the bridge built on the cliff, you can see Eiger, one of the three north faces of the Alps, and Grindelwald. At the end of the Cliff Walk, there is an observation deck where you can see the Alps. There were a lot of people at the Cliff Walk and First Observatory. You have to wait at least an hour to take pictures. There were still a lot of people when I came after hiking. Because the weather was nice, there were a lot of people paragliding at First.

Went up one of the peaks at Grindelwald First, and it was an experience we will never forget. The trees and general landscape was pristine, the cable car up the mountain has a breathtaking view, and we managed to catch light snow on the mountains. There was a heart shaped structure at the top which was supposedly the filming site of "Crash Landing on you". Overall an amazing experience!

Grindelwald unexpectedly snowed in April The plan was to go to the green mountains, but the day before we went, it snowed! It was pouring down like a storm, but the next day the sky was beautiful and clear!! Although I have been to First when I traveled to Switzerland 10 years ago, I have never tried the newly launched First Cliff Walk, so I decided to go there again this time 😛 The First Cliff Walk is built along the cliff, with a 500-meter abyss at the foot. To be honest, as I am a little afraid of heights, I really didn’t dare to look down when I was walking! Although I was nervous at every step (luckily with the encouragement of my friends), I finally made it to the end of the cliff walk with the belief that Swiss products are absolutely safe! Arriving at the end was a refreshing experience. The endless Alps glacier and snow-capped mountains in front of us were like a paradise on earth, so beautiful! ! ! ! Interlaken is one of Switzerland’s most popular travel destinations. The town is nestled between two lakes and surrounded on all sides by mountains. 🏔️ Days could be spent in this small Swiss town as it’s an excellent base to explore the surrounding attractions. Here were my favorite locations on my 2 day Interlaken mini-break: 1️⃣ First Cliff Walk and surrounding hikes - Take the 30 minute train ride to Grindelwald and then take the gondola up to the First Cliff Walk. There are many hikes with spectacular views on top! Be sure to check the gondola operating times if you don’t want to walk down! 🚡 2️⃣ Rosenlaui - This one is a little bit further out but it’s definitely worth it! Take the train to Meiringen and then take the bus to Rosenlaui. The benefit to being slightly harder to reach is the lack of tourists! 3️⃣ Brienz - I made a stop at Brienz on my way to Meiringen because I read online it’s home to the most beautiful street in the world. The town is small and quaint and definitely worth checking out. 4️⃣ Lauterbrunnen - Another unmissable stop and located about 25 minutes away from Interlaken. The village is quite walkable but be sure to check out the surrounding hikes. When you’re done, take the train up to Wengen for spectacular views of the Lauterbrunnen valley below. From Wengen, you can take the gondola over the mountain and down into Grindelwald at the other side. Helpful Tip 💭: Switzerland has an excellent transport network, but it’s pretty pricy. It’s worth investing in the Swiss rail pass if you’re going to be there for an extended period. I opted for the half-fare card as I was in Switzerland for only five days. Take a 25-minute cable car ride from Grindelwald to the top of First Mountain, 2,200 meters above sea level. It was all white when we got up there, and the ground below was snowy, so it was super cold, but the Cliff Walk was still worth it!
