All Moments About Colonia Guell
Barcelona🇪🇸Gaudi architecture [Colonia Güell Church]
[Colonia Güell Church]
A hidden gem on the outskirts of Barcelona that is a must-see for fans of Gaudi architecture!
Its official name is "Sagrada Familia Crypt Colonia Güell"
In fact, this church was designed as a prototype for the Sagrada Familia✨
The natural light that shines through the curves of the brick and stone is softly reflected through the stained glass, creating a majestic yet warm atmosphere💛
When you go inside, the shape of the columns and the ceiling are all surprisingly unique, making you wonder, "Wow, a design like this is possible?"
You can see Gaudi's attempts to incorporate the "laws of nature" into architecture everywhere.
It's not as glamorous as the Sagrada Familia, but rather the quiet atmosphere and experimental structural beauty resonate with you.
There are fewer tourists and you can sit and enjoy the view, so it's the perfect place to take your time and get inside Gaudi's mind.

Parc Güell
#travellerswonderland
A beautiful park. I recommend entering at the hill (north side) since it's easier to walk downwards and there is a lot of stairs and it's still possible to see nearly everything. Aside from stairs there are also flat pathways so it is wheelchair accessible. There are signs and labels for guiding and you can also search up some routes on the official website. It's a large park and you'll need around two hours to see everything. At the top there is a nice view of distant Barcelona.

#June2024
🏖️Environment/Facilities: The Güell Textile Village features five permanent exhibitions – Industrial Colonies, The Mill, The People, Güell Textile Village and Gaudí’s Crypt – all of which bring to life the village, the way of life of the people, and the life and work of this iconic architect.
💞Recommendation reason: The Textile Village Exhibition Hall explains the background and significance of the textile village at that time. There is also a precious cultural relic display area where you can see the appearance of the textile machines at that time, which is an eye-opener. There is also Gao Di's architectural explanation.

[A good place to go in June] Guell Textile Village: historical sites show Barcelona's industrial heritage, modernist architecture is amazing
#June2024
🏖️Environment/Facilities: Colonia Güell This historic textile village dates back to 1890 and is one of the most important historical sites in Barcelona, showcasing the city’s industrial heritage. The Güell Textile Village was created by Eusebio Güell and a group of modernist architects who helped create, design and construct this replica of a village in the Catalan art nouveau style.
💞Recommendation reason: When you walk on the streets of this old industrial town, it is like going back in time, like treasure hunting, and you will find one modernist building after another right in front of you. The appearance is unique and full of the color of the place. Among the crypts of the high churches, the Catalonian country houses are not to be missed.
