#mountainview Popular mountain spot of Lin’an county, DamingShan promises gorgeous views, fresh air and a sound of peace. After the entrance,buses drive you up to the hiking trail. You won’t really hike as there are stairs. You’ll come across caves and cross rope bridges. There are some beverage and snack kiosks at the top, but I’d recommend bringing your own lunch. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, take the slide all the way down! It’s such a thrill! P.S: There’s an entrance fee, but I went in April 2020 when access was free. This huge ski resort is Located in Linan (Daming Mountain) which is about 2 hours drive by bus or you could take the metro (line 5, line 16) to linan square and didi from there. We booked a trip with @Etravel. To get to the top of the mountain the resort has busses that drive you up to the cable cars that are 80¥ p.p one way or you could hike up from the cable cars. When in the cable car you can actually see how high up we are in the mountains. 😱🏔 A lot of thought was put in to the construction of this place. Once you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the snow and the Ski slopes. There is also a huge lake nearby 🥰 First you have to rent your ski gear there are many windows which helps to accommodate a lot of people (to rent equipment is 500¥, you get this back after returning everything). On the second floor there are local food options. After paying for the rental gear you recive a bracelet, you can then go and get all the gear you need, once you get an item they scan your bracelet. We opted for Snowboarding but the queue was very long for Snowboarding shoes, there aren't many equipment for this activity. There are lots of ski gear equipment. There about 5 slopes on there premises, beginner slopes to advanced slopes. The resort has conveyor to be able to conveniently get up the slopes. We had so much fun, we snowboarded for 3.5 hours! I have no experience in Snowboarding and enjoyed every minute of it. Birds sing joyfully from the branches, their melodies echoing through the valley, breathing life into the quiet forest. Occasionally, agile squirrels dart across the trees, vanishing in the blink of an eye, leaving me standing there, searching for their fleeting shadows. When I stepped onto the cliffside plank walkway, my heart leaped into my throat. Suspended on the steep cliff face, the walkway overlooks a bottomless abyss. Taking the first cautious step, my legs trembled slightly, but the breathtaking view ahead held me spellbound. The distant peaks took on fantastical shapes—some like swords piercing the sky, others like graceful fairies. The mist swirled and danced, gathering and dispersing as if an invisible hand were waving a white veil. Standing there, I felt transported to a fairyland, becoming one with the mountains and waters. The most awe-inspiring sight was Longmen Gorge. Standing at its entrance, the mountain wind howled, carrying a refreshing chill. Looking up, the towering peaks on either side framed a narrow passage, as if split by a giant's axe. The torrential waters roared through the gorge, crashing against the rocks with a deafening sound, like a thousand galloping horses—a humbling reminder of nature's immense power. As the sun set, its golden glow bathed Daming Mountain, turning the peaks into a radiant spectacle. The mist, now adorned with dazzling hues, looked dreamlike. At that moment, Daming Mountain resembled a noblewoman in resplendent attire, exuding irresistible charm.
