The happiest moment after work is to indulge in happy hour. Following a friend's recommendation, I visited club@28 located on the top floor of the hotel. The environment is quite nice, with large floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides offering views of the nearby Causeway Bay area. The bustling night scene, with twinkling lights, is even more enjoyable with a walk out to the outdoor pool to chill and take photos, which is quite pleasant. The clientele mainly consists of genteel guests or hotel residents, so it's relatively quiet. Before the restructuring, the highest-level IHG One Rewards members (the predecessor of Diamond members) could enjoy benefits such as double breakfast and executive treatment at Crowne Plaza in Greater China. After the restructuring, Diamond members are only provided with free double breakfast or welcome drink coupons plus fruit. Many members were dissatisfied with the downgrade in treatment. After deducting the $500 bonus, you pay the bill of $422. Last weekend, I stayed at a hotel next to Happy Valley in Causeway Bay. I upgraded to a high-rise room with a view of the racecourse. The large floor-to-ceiling windows faced the racecourse, which was sunny and had a good view. The room was large, the bed was big and comfortable, and the amenities were complete. Although the hotel is not large, it has a gym and swimming pool. The package includes a tea set, the breakfast tastes good, and the check-out is late until 3pm. However, the original check-in time was 3 o'clock but I had to wait 1.5 hours longer to get a room. I hope this can be improved. Fortunately, the hotel is near Causeway Bay, where there are places like Times Square to visit, and there are many restaurants around, so it is very convenient for shopping and dining. I can also go to the racecourse to run and exercise to kill time. The overall accommodation was good and we spent a green and vibrant weekend holiday.
