This beach, famous for its black volcanic sand, is completely different from the general golden beaches. The waves gently hit the shore, bringing cool breezes. You can conveniently visit this church while walking along the promenade or when making your way through the small villages alleyways, once you pop into the small Eduado Marques Garden. The chapel is open from 9.30-5.30 daily and is free to visit. Well worth the trip down to the South Island of Coloane. I wish to go to Macau again for my family trip as it offering a unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, stunning architecture and eatery places.
