Chao Samran Beach @Phetchaburi🏊
Believe it or not, since Bomiko was born, I have been to Phetchaburi province hundreds of times, but this is the first time I have come to Hat Chao Samran. I didn't know how to get through the entrance to Hat Chao Samran, but I had never stopped by. Today, I decided to stop by. Then I realized that it was okay. Although it can't compete with Cha-am and Hua Hin, it's not that bad. There are accommodations, shops, a sandy beach, and parking. It's very convenient.
History of Hat Chao Samran
Hat Chao Samran is located about 15 kilometers from Phetchaburi town. It is a beach that used to be an important tourist attraction since ancient times. There is a story that King Naresuan the Great once visited here with King Ekathotsarot. He was very pleased with the beauty of this beach. He stayed there for many days until the locals called this beach Hat Chao Samran. About 7 kilometers south of Hat Chao Samran is Hat Puk Tien, which is another tourist attraction in Phetchaburi province. Hat Chao Samran flourished to its peak during the reign of King Rama VI, who was more famous than other beaches at that time. He ordered the construction of a royal camp called "Camp Luang Bang Thalu" after the name of Bang Thalu sub-district, where it was located. "This beachside palace is called "Hat Chao Samran Palace". After he recovered from his illness, he changed the name of the sub-district. The original name was considered inauspicious, to Tambon Hat Chao Samran, after the name of the beach. However, he later moved the palace to the current location of Mrigadayavan Palace because Hat Chao Samran was full of flies. Since the palace was located near a fishing village, the palace was so full of flies that he overheard his courtiers complaining that "Hat Chao Samran, but the courtiers are bored". This beach lacked fresh water, so he ordered the move.
Hat Chao Samran is located in Hat Chao Samran Sub-district, Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi Province.
This beach is a tourist attraction worth visiting for relaxation. It has a peaceful atmosphere, cool weather, and an abundance of marine life, including hermit crabs, shellfish, and jellyfish. There are accommodations and a convenience store nearby. You can swim. Nearby is a fishing village. The sand on this beach has been blown up more and more, so the sand at the beginning of the beach is very fine. Therefore, this is a tourist attraction that is not too far away and is very beautiful.
