The most memorable restaurant during my 3 nights and 4 days in Japan! ● Torikiku (near Byodoin) located in Uji, Kyoto ● In a small shop, one grandmother and two grandfathers take turns cooking, and they were really, really kind and warm! It was a place that I especially remember because they were very polite, affectionate, and warm, just like the image of Japanese elders that comes to mind. ● A great value restaurant where you can eat udon/soba + tempura + sushi for about 10,000 won per person ● The taste was great, but the atmosphere of the grandmothers and grandfathers inside the restaurant was really great ● If I had to pick a disadvantage, it would be that most shops in Uji close at 4pm, so you can only have lunch, and the only thing to see nearby is Byodoin, but even that was a place that you didn't really have to go toㅎㅎ There were absolutely no disadvantages to the shop itself!
