Countryside Rest
🇯🇵Wakayama Countryside Trip D3:
It was another beautiful morning with a full stomach and a good drink. Today, I continued to use my Nankai Electric Railway 2-day ticket and slowly headed to Wakayama City Station to take the long-awaited "Katai Kissing Train".
After checking today's timetable, the first train I took was the pink SACHI train. This train symbolizes vitality and happiness, hoping to bring joy and auspicious blessings to every passenger. Even the small details inside the train are full of joy.
The train is moving slowly, and the peaceful rural scenery outside the window makes people slow down their pace unconsciously and calm down.
In fact, there are not many large tourist attractions in the Katai area, but because of this, it is more simple and quiet. Along the way, I visited Kada Kasuga Shrine and Awashima Shrine⛩️. The latter is famous for accepting "dolls" donated by the public. The grounds are filled with various human-shaped dolls. It looks quite spectacular during the day, but to be honest - it should be a bit scary at night😅.
Fortunately, I bought the local specialty "Kojima Ichi Shoten" mochi, which is limited to a daily quantity. Unfortunately, the shelf life is only one day, so I can only finish it quickly on the same day!
At noon, I took a short break in a hot spring hotel. If you want to take a bath, you only need to add 800 yen, and you can enjoy the sea view while bathing. The CP value is super high! It's just that the weather is too hot, so I had to give up silently in the end and leave it to myself next time when it's cool.
On the way back from Kada, I took the blue-themed KAI train, which symbolizes the vastness and depth of the sea. The overall design is based on the image of the ocean, bringing a fresh and peaceful atmosphere. When returning from Rinku Town in the evening, I unexpectedly encountered the black KASHIRA train entering the station. This train was inspired by an adventure ship full of treasures, showing a cool and mysterious style, as if inviting people to embark on an unknown journey.
As for dinner, just combine it with supper!
#Wakayama on weekends still has few foreign tourists
#Rinku Town outlet is very good to visit. Many brands are marked as Japan-exclusive, so I bought them.
