AWA Resort Koh Chang has a lovely façade. Entrance facing the main street so no need to walk through side streets. another side facing the sea which is great to watch the sunset. it got a great pool though water is a bit cool in January. breakfast is plentiful and starts from 7am to 1030am. Room service is quick on delivery, takes no more than 20 minutes. however, I asked for a quiet room on top floor. they gave me a room on the ground floor and can hear residents upstairs talking (in loud Cantonese), dragging chairs here and there and walking from one side of the room to another. Maybe the definition of “QUIET” and “TOP FLOOR” bear different meaning to AWA. Also, their wifi is so weak that it is practically not available. I asked the front desk and after waiting for an hour for a technician to come to my room to check it out, front desk told me the technician will check outside my room. but there is no difference after checking. overall, I think there are many resorts in Koh Chang. AWA is much over-rated. I will return to Koh Chang again but not to AWA

The photos don't do justice to the true charm of this place; it's much more beautiful in person. The rooms are impeccable, and instead of the usual overwhelming chlorine smell, the hotel pool exudes a pleasant scent of essential oils. Affordable massages, friendly staff, and a short walk to another great beach make this resort a hidden gem. The food didn't win me over personally, but that's just a matter of taste. Luckily, there are plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby. Plus, the alternative beach is a 10-minute walk from the hotel beach. Overall, a great experience!

Quiet, calming all movements, the pool is wide enough to swim until you're tired, the room is clean, and there's a bathtub for you to soak in. It's awesome.
