Alpaca World is a zoo in Gangwon-do, South Korea, also known as Alpaca Park! Because they are mainly alpacas, which are docile, children are basically not too afraid. You can also pay to take the alpacas for a walk and take photos. The basic premise is to buy feed and feed them, then they will be very welcoming and the interactive experience will be very special. I'm really happy and well taken care of. My fur is so neat and beautiful!
In addition to alpacas, there are other animals in the park such as rabbits and deer. After a walk around, it feels like spending a day with a group of small animals. The scenery in the park is also nice, and there are some trails for walking, which is really comfortable when the weather is good.

Alpaca World in Gangwon-do, Seoul, South Korea, is a delightful tourist attraction that allowed me to have close contact with the lovely alpacas. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
As you enter the park, the first thing that catches your eye is the furry alpacas. They are lively and cute, and they approach tourists in a friendly manner. While feeding the alpacas, I felt their softness and warmth, and this interaction instantly made my mood happy. (You can pay extra to take the alpaca for a tour)
In addition to interacting with alpacas, there are other animals to see in the park, which made me feel like I was in a small zoo.
In short, Alpaca World in Gangwon-do is not only a good place to have close contact with animals, but also a great choice for people to relax and enjoy nature! If you are also looking for a travel destination full of fun and good memories, you might want to consider exploring here!

Have you walk an Alpaca?
the reason for us to travel to South Korea was to visit Alpaca World. We book a tour to bring us there. In Alpaca World, we learn about the animal and its characteristic from the on site Alpaca experts. Do come early to see the grand entrance of the cute alpacas.You can walk and feed an alpaca with a small fee. it was a amazing experience! There is also some other animals for you to see such as rabbits and peacocks.
Getting There - We booked a tour. Departing from Hongdae, it will bring you straight to Alpaca World in the comfort of an air condition bus
Attractions - The cute Alpacas!
Food & Restaurants - There is a small cafe in Alpaca World
Shopping - There is a small souvenirs shop where you can buy alpacas soft toys and souvenirs.

Alpacas that my middle school son and daughter both love..
There are many places where you can meet the cute alpacas, but I think Hongcheon Alpaca World is the best in Korea.. I was worried that the ticket price would be a waste.. but guess what.. The large scale and well-managed size made my worries disappear.. 😄😄
We were worried about the heat that was close to 30 degrees when we entered, but there was a place to cool down, where they sprayed mist in the middle. The alpacas that we met while walking followed us around like dogs if we just held out our hands. ㅎㅎ
The Forest Cafe, located at the highest point, is a place that makes you want to take a life shot because it is cool and has a great view. In addition to the alpacas, if you stamp various birds and animals, an hour or two will pass by quickly. It is only natural to get hungry. Now, shall we go find a good restaurant in Hongcheon??❤️❤️

I’ve joined to a tour in Seoul which includes the alpaca world which was convenient. You get to experience taking a walk with the cute alpacas but be careful as they can be very strong. There are also some small animals for you to visit~

A magical encounter with alpacas
Alpaca World is located in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province, South Korea, about 130 kilometers from Seoul. It is the first alpaca-themed animal farm in South Korea. It covers an area of 330,000 square meters and simulates the natural environment of the Andes Mountains in South America. It raises more than 50 alpacas and other animals such as deer, rabbits, owls, etc.
🕰️Opening hours: 10:00–18:00 (last admission 16:30), closed only during the Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.
💰Tickets: 18,000 KRW (about 13 USD) for adults, free for children under 3 years old.
🚗Self-driving: About 2 hours drive from Seoul.
🚌Public transportation: Take a bus from Dongseoul Bus Station to Hongcheon Bus Station and transfer to a local bus or taxi (approximately 44 minutes).

🐑Feeding activity: Held at the "Alpaca Playground" at 10 am every day, visitors can feed the alpacas up close and feel their soft fur and cute expressions (note: alpacas may spit!).
🐑Take an alpaca walk: Pay 12,000 won to experience a 15-minute "healing walk", but alpacas are naughty and often out of control, which is very interesting.
2. 🦋Animal shows: Such as the weekend "Rainbow Flight" (falcon show), "Coati Adventure", etc., the schedule needs to be checked in advance.

The kids had a great time feeding the Alpacas. We had an enjoyable time here. However, this place may not be suitable for the elderly as you may have to walk uphill. There is a shaded area where those who choose not to walk uphill to sit and wait.

Before entering, there were many dos and don’ts informed by the staff. Regardless of following those set of rules, I was still kicked by an alpaca 🥲 reason? Because i fed another alpaca and not him. Traumatised.
Other than that, the place was absolutely stunning located on top of a mountain. There were other animals such as camels, rabbits and birds. Buying the alpaca coins will give you a chance to buy feed for the animals there (not just for feeding alpaca).
The place also has steep paths which might be hard for the elderly and those travelling with strollers. It’s best to take your time to stroll around and not rush. There was a fun activity where we collect stamps to win a prize which was fun! Overall, it was a great experience!

I participated in a one-day tour to the Seoul Alpaca Park. Because the transportation was too inconvenient, I participated in the one-day tour activity of Klook. I didn’t have to find a car or a route by myself. It is highly recommended!
We gathered in Hongdae in the morning and slept for two hours on the tour bus. We had two hours of free time. Only the entrance was included. There were additional charges for feeding the alpacas and walking with them. In addition to the alpacas, there were also ducks, horses, birds and other animals. Two hours was really a bit too rushed.
It's a great experience for animal lovers!
