I went to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a famous tourist spot that everyone in Italy knows. I went there once on a tour when I was a student, but this time I went on a solo trip. I hadn't planned on going, but I was at a loss as to where to go on a solo trip with no plan, so I went on a typical sightseeing tour. It's more tilted in real life than it looks in the photos!! There are a lot of people taking pictures of trick art. You can also climb the Leaning Tower, but reservations are required. I went on short notice, so I couldn't climb it, but if you do climb it, leave your luggage and take only your camera and cell phone. At Italy, recommend you to some time and visit Pisa. It is easily accessible by public transport from other major cities such as Milan and Rome as well. If you are planning a visit to Pisa, do keep a lookout for this small ice cream shop within 5 mins walk. It caught our eyes due to the pear flavour - we have not tried pear ice cream before. Was looking for a hotel that would allow me to walk to Pisa as the leaning tower gets too crowded during the day. As promised, one can indeed get a glimpse of Pisa once we arrive (seen from image outside the same street as the hotel).
