Exquisite wagyu beef fillet For the main course, we luxuriously ordered wagyu beef fillet. The meat was moist and the flavor spread the more you chewed it, and the grilled aroma further enhanced the taste. The meat, seasoned simply with salt and pepper, was a dish that made the most of the quality of the ingredients. It was a very luxurious experience to be able to enjoy authentic Japanese beef at a resort in the Maldives. A special bar perfect for sunset There are several wonderful bars at Milaidhoo Maldives, but Compass Bar was the best place to enjoy the sunset. The infinity pool in front of you and the sea beyond it combine to create a fantastic view. The cocktails I drank here were truly exquisite. A spectacular view connecting the pool and the sea One of the attractions of Compass Bar is the view that makes it seem as if the pool and the sea are one. At sunset, the sky turns orange and pink, and the colors are reflected on the surface of the pool. The time spent relaxing and enjoying a cocktail while watching the view was truly luxurious. Exquisite cocktails Here, there is a wide selection of cocktails made with fresh tropical fruits. When I asked the bartender for a recommendation, he made me an original Milaidhoo cocktail. The fruity and refreshing taste was perfect for the relaxed time in the Maldives. The cocktails made with coconut and passion fruit, which are typical of the Maldives, were also exquisite, and felt even more delicious when drunk while feeling the sea breeze. Spacious villas and private pools When I arrived at the beachfront villa, I was first surprised by its size. The interior has an open design, and the natural wood-based interior is comfortable, making it a space where you can feel at ease no matter where you are. In particular, the private pool was luxurious itself, and I was able to view the sea without being disturbed by anyone while surrounded by greenery. The daybeds by the pool were also comfortable, and the time I spent relaxing in the morning sun was exceptional. Private beach spreading out in front of me The biggest feature of this villa is the beautiful private beach spreading out in front of me. The white sand spreads out, and you can enjoy a luxurious time while listening to the sound of the waves. It felt like my own beach, and it was a special space even within the resort. It was also a great location for snorkeling, and we could enjoy the coral reefs with colorful fish swimming just by going a little offshore. Differences from Overwater Villas Overwater villas are generally popular at resorts in the Maldives, but at Milaidhoo, beachfront villas are in the higher category. This is because they offer more space and privacy, and the beach is beautiful right in front of you. Direct access to the ocean from the overwater villas is also attractive, but I felt that the beachfront villas made me feel closer to nature and gave me a more special experience. I actually stayed there for five nights, and for the last night, I was a Hilton Diamond member, so I had the special experience of being upgraded to a two-story two-bedroom overwater villa for free. Milaidhoo Maldives is located in Baa Atoll, an area designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, so the clarity of the water and the beauty of the coral reefs are exceptional. All rooms are villa-type, and you can choose from overwater villas and beach villas with private pools. The overwater villas in particular offer a dreamy environment, with spacious decks, outdoor showers, and ocean views from the bathtub. During your stay, there are plenty of activities to soothe your mind, such as snorkeling and diving in the beautiful sea, private yoga sessions, and relaxing time at the spa. At the restaurant, you can enjoy fresh local seafood and sophisticated Maldivian cuisine, making every meal a special experience. The hospitality of the staff is also excellent, and the detailed service tailored to the preferences of each guest is attractive. Exceptionally private, the rooms are generally huge, and boast amazingly spectacular sunset views. The intimate island atmosphere makes Milaidhoo one of the best places to visit during the holidays.
