[Fukushima] Run at Goshikinuma near Mount Bandai 🏃
I went to Goshikinuma Lake District in Fukushima Prefecture.
It's relatively close to Lake Inawashiro and Mount Bandai.
As the name suggests, there are many lakes and swamps.
It's 4km one way, so I did some trail running while sightseeing! The autumn leaves were at their best along the way. (Although I didn't get many because I was just running.)
There are many views that stand out against the green and blue of the water!

[Fukushima] Grandeco Snow Resort in Urabandai 🎿
I stayed overnight at the adjacent Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel and enjoyed skiing❣️
Guests can ski directly from the hotel, but everyone else can enter through the front entrance.
Unfortunately, the day I visited, it had rained, and it was December, so the snow hadn't piled up yet, and only some of the courses were open, but on days with good conditions, you can experience the powder snow that is also called divine snow❄️I still had a lot of fun, but the timing was bad...😅
The ski center also has a restaurant, shop, and rental and school reception, so it looks like you can enjoy it comfortably even for day trips!

[Fukushima] You can ski right from the hotel at "Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel" ⛷
Recommended for skiers and snowboarders‼️
The Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel is directly connected to the Grandeco Snow Resort, so you can ski straight from the hotel⛷
On the first floor of the hotel, there are ski lockers and changing rooms for guests only, as well as rental and school reception, so you can complete everything in the hotel without having to go outside in the cold✨
Once you're ready in the warm hotel, you can start skiing right away. You can ski back on the way back, so there's no need to carry your skis! Once you're done skiing, head straight to the hot springs♨️
After experiencing such a comprehensive experience, you'll never be able to go back to a normal ski resort😅

[Fukushima] Breakfast & Dinner at Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel
Introducing the breakfast and dinner I had at Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel 😋🍴
◆Breakfast "Dining Room Claire"
It seems to be a buffet usually, but perhaps because there were few guests, you could choose between Japanese or Western food at check-in. Both were very filling and filled you up. You can have refills of the set menu drinks.
The restaurant has a large window from which you can see the snowy scenery outside, which was a great way to start the day ☀️
◆Dinner "Japanese Cuisine Azuma"
I had a Japanese kaiseki course!
The staff brought each dish to me one by one, so I was able to eat calmly. Everything was delicious with a strong dashi flavor ♫

[Fukushima] Stay at Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel
I stayed at the Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel, located in the nature-rich Urabandai Plateau!
It's adjacent to the ski resort, so it's very convenient for skiers and snowboarders in the winter🏂
The lobby is Tokyu, with an unadorned, calm resort hotel atmosphere. On the first floor, there is a craft corner, a small library, a ski facility where you can ski directly from the hotel, and a hot spring.
The room was a standard twin, but it was a chic room with a spacious sofa and a blue base.
The hot spring seemed a little far away because it was beyond the ski locker area for guests, but I was able to warm up in the open-air bath. The hot spring after a cold ski is the best! ♨️
It was a recommended resort hotel that can be enjoyed all year round, with hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter♫

A mysterious group of lakes where swamps of various colours are gathered
#springwander
Hundreds of lakes were formed and born due to the water vapour explosion that occurred in 1888. Among them, the general name of about 30 large and small lakes such as Bishamon-numa, Aka-numa, Midoro-numa, Ryu-numa, and Benten-numa is called "Goshiki-numa Lake Group". In 2016, it was recognised as a one-star Michelin Green Guide.
It is not the five swamps, but the name comes from the fact that various colours can be seen. Colour differences are due to weather, seasons, and volcanic substances contained in the water.

Urabandai Highlands
The Urabandai Highlands consist of about 300 lakes and marshes, earning it the nickname 'Land of Lakes and Marshes.' This natural wonder, with its stunning lakes and mountains, was formed after the eruption of Mount Bandai in 1888. The autumn foliage tour centers around the southern part of Lake Hibara in the Urabandai Highlands, with the highlight being the Goshikinuma Ponds, which have been awarded one star in the Michelin Green Guide. The Goshikinuma Ponds are composed of dozens of lakes and marshes, including Akanuma, Yanaginuma, and Bentennuma. The water in these ponds is rich in minerals, causing them to display a variety of colors such as emerald green, deep blue, and dark red, depending on the time of day and sunlight. The dense maple trees along the lakeshores add to the beauty, making it a mysterious and fascinating spot for viewing autumn leaves.

【Tohoku, Japan】Goshikinuma: Nature’s palette, a crater lake formed by a volcanic eruption
#Lake
Located in Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku, Japan, Goshiki-numa is one of the most amazing natural wonders in Tohoku. This lake was formed by the volcanic eruption of Mount Bandai a century ago🌋. After the volcanic eruption, the overflowed volcanic material and minerals were deposited in the lakes, giving each lake a unique color. As the seasons change, the color of the lake also changes, presenting more vivid and diverse hues🎨.
The eight brightly colored lakes are linked by a 4-kilometer nature trail, and it’s easy to walk around all eight in just a few hours. Along the way, you can enjoy various wild flowers and moss-covered ancient trees, and feel the tranquility and beauty of nature🥰.
The largest lake is Kunshamen Lake. In addition to renting boats to cruise the lake, many tourists also look for the legendary lucky carp by the lake. I was lucky enough to see it ❤️.
After touring the lake, you can also go to the nearby souvenir shop to buy Fukushima limited souvenirs🛍️.

Urabandai/Hidden hotel
A hotel located in Bandai Asahi National Park.
The view of Urabandai's nature from the room window looks like a painting.
The hotel was renovated by three architects from a 40-year-old mountain lodge.
The warm and relaxing atmosphere.
And the delicious Aizu food and hot springs were soothing.
We were able to stroll around the swamp on the premises, and it was a pleasant hotel in harmony with nature.
Hoteli means hotel in Finnish and Aalto means wave.
The hotel is Nordic style with beautiful interior and a relaxing space.
A little off topic, but after staying in a small tent (mat & sleeping bag) for several nights, I was really grateful for the hotel bed.
It was a very luxurious stay.

Goshikinuma ponds, autumn vibe 🍁
Review Goshikinuma ponds, Fukushima during the autumn leaves season.
After reviewing the winter season with thick white snow,
I will review the season when there are the most tourists, which is the autumn leaves season. This is the season when the most tourists and local Japanese people come to visit. The weather is good and the leaves turn red.
You can travel by bus, but the most convenient way is to rent a car.

Goshiki-numa pond 🇯🇵💦🦋
#timetotravel
Goshiki-numa (五色沼), is a cluster of five volcanic lakes situated at the foot of Mount Bandai in the center of the lake district of Bandai-kōgen, Kitashiobara, Fukushima, Japan.
The eruption completely rearranged the landscape, creating the Bandai-kōgen plateau and damming local rivers. The eruption imparted mineral deposits to the Five Colored Lakes giving each of them their own delicate color, ranging from reddish green to cobalt blue. The colors of each lake mysteriously fluctuate throughout the year with the weather. Since the eruption, Goshiki-numa has become a popular tourist destination. An approximately four-kilometer walking path from Lake Bishamon, the largest of the five lakes, to Lake Hibara affords people a view of all five lakes.

[Fukushima - Spectacular View] Mysterious Lake "Goshikinuma"
The mysterious pastel blue of Goshikinuma Lakes in Fukushima Prefecture is beautiful.
To be precise, it is called the "Goshikinuma Lakes Group," which is a collective name for many lakes and ponds, including Bishamonuma, Akanuma, Midoronuma, Tatsunuma, Bentennuma, Rurinuma, and Aonuma!
The color of the ponds changes depending on the season, time, and weather, so one of the joys is that you can see a different look every time you go.
In fact, even a short difference between the outbound and return trips made the color of the blue feel different! !
Many people were seen enjoying rowing boats at the largest lake, Bishamonnuma.
There are souvenir shops and stores between the parking lot and the boat dock, and you can enjoy ice cream (salty flavor) inspired by Goshikinuma.
The road around Goshikinuma seems to be popular as a beginner's hiking course♪
A magnificent view of Japan, certified as one star in the Michelin Green Guide in 2016.
Be sure to visit this art created by nature♪
