Autumn is short but incredibly beautiful. Ireland is a green country, so you can imagine how stunning it is when all the trees turn yellow and red during the autumn. I still remember one day when the trees were green, and just after one night, my entire university had transformed completely. My first, and of course biased, autumn spot in Ireland is my university—University College Dublin, Smurfit Graduate Business School in Blackrock. Trust me, it is absolutely stunning. Early in the morning, I boarded the DART train from Dublin city center, and half an hour later, I arrived in Howth. This seaside town, embraced by the ocean breeze, instantly lifted my spirits. Sunlight bathed the harbor, fishing boats swayed gently, and seagulls circled overhead. I decided to start my day with the Howth Cliff Walk. Choosing the green route, I strolled along the cliffside path, where the Irish Sea shimmered under the sunlight, and the distant Lambay Island appeared faintly on the horizon. The sea breeze was a bit chilly, so I wrapped my coat tighter, but I couldn’t resist pausing to take in the expansive view from Howth Summit. Wildflowers dotted the trail, and the occasional sound of sheep bleating added to the charm. In this moment, the hustle and bustle of the city felt worlds away. By the time I finished the trail, it was nearing noon, and my stomach was growling. I headed straight to Beshoff Bros by the harbor. Standing tall at the edge of the cliffs, the lighthouse overlooked Dublin Bay, which glowed golden under the setting sun. I took out my phone to capture this breathtaking scene, feeling utterly content. As dusk approached, I boarded the DART back to Dublin. Through the train window, the sea and sky of Howth gradually faded into the distance, but the memories of the day left a deep impression in my heart. On this day, I walked along cliffs, savored seafood, touched history, and was profoundly moved by the natural beauty and simplicity of Ireland. Howth is not just a suburb of Dublin; it’s a place that invites you to slow down and truly feel. If I have the chance, I’d love to return—perhaps next time, I’ll rent a boat and chase after the seals.

1⃣️Duration: About 2-5 hours (roughly half a day, depending on time and stamina) 2⃣️Transportation: Both Dart and bus stops are quite close, not much difference ➡️Outbound Dart, city center Connolly-Howth, about half an hour. ➡️H3, the bus stop is next to Starbucks, about forty minutes, you can charge on the bus. But pay attention to the timetable. 3⃣️Attractions: Howth town and enjoy the scenery along 4 hiking routes, with detailed introductions on the signposts 📌If you are not physically fit, you can return from around Howth Head 📌The first half of the four routes is the same, it is a coastal hiking trail, not difficult to walk, soft shoes are sufficient 📌The green and blue lines take about the same time, around 2 hours, both return to the town after walking along the coast 📌The red line takes about 2.5 hours, the purple line is the longest, basically circling the peninsula. These two are suitable for friends with good stamina 📌These routes are easy to find, with clear color-coded signs ✅There is a seafood festival recently, and a small market, quite lively, you can take a stroll ✅If hiking, remember to bring water, comfortable walking shoes, a jacket, and snacks to replenish energy

#TravelSupportEvent Howth Island, about 20 minutes away from Dublin, was a great place to spend a relaxing time while listening to the sound of the waves and smelling the fresh sea air. I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery while walking along the coast, and it was really great to be able to taste fresh seafood at the small port. In particular, the various beaches and walking trails along the coast were great places to take pictures.
