Guizhou - Zhijin Cave

Visiting 织金洞 (Zhijin Cave) was an amazing experience! I started early morning from Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou. I booked a car to take me to and pick me up from the caves as it’s about a 2 hour drive from Guiyang. This cost 800rmb. A taxi is slightly cheaper however, my taxi app (Didi) didn’t have any cars at the location. The admission price to enter the caves was 120rmb (worth every penny). After buying your ticket you take a free shuttle bus to the cave entrance. There are many different attractions within the cave. Beautiful, natural caverns with an extensive array of grottos, rock shelters and speleothems. The cave is well lit with informative signs along the way. There are also designated places to stop for rests and toilet breaks. The walk through the cave was highly enjoyable but long. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. I spent about 2 hours exploring under the ground. Upon completing the cave walk there is a very scenic walk back to the shuttle buses. Here you can spend some time shopping small trinkets and having a meal. I stayed in Yoyo Hotel in Guiyang.
