One-day trip to Yulong Snow Mountain (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain). Woke up at 4 AM to catch the van that would pick us up at 5:30 AM and take us to Yulong National Park. This time, I decided to try a local tour arranged by the hotel. The cost was 588 yuan per person, which included: - Transportation from Lijiang Old Town - Entrance fee to the park - Glacier Park cable car and bus - Spruce Meadow (originally planned for Yak Meadow, but the guide made a mistake, so we went with it) - Bottled water and one oxygen canister Initially, the deal included lunch, but when we arrived, there was none 😅. Honestly, I could have booked through Trip.com, which would have added a small service fee, but I wanted to experience a tour. This made me realize that traveling independently and organizing everything yourself is the best option 🫣. The snow mountain was stunning, but there were so many people. Waiting in line for the bus and cable car at each point took an exhausting amount of time—almost three hours to reach the top. Was it beautiful? Yes, but overall, it wasn’t breathtaking enough to make me want to visit again. On the way back, the tour van that brought us in the morning was scheduled to leave at 3:30 PM. I decided to let it go and find my own ride back. The driver kindly helped arrange transportation. When it was time to leave, I realized that these tour companies have vehicles ready to pick up general customers. I paid an additional 20 yuan per person.
