The self-driving trip to Yunnan with my parents is underway, and we went to Yuanmou to see the Earth Forest before returning to Kunming, staying one night at a hot spring resort hotel with great value for money. We also had dinner at the hotel, trying the local specialty cold chicken, which is a bit like white cut chicken, with the taste relying on the dipping sauce. The numbing and spicy flavor was amazing, and the mixed noodles were delicious too. When leaving, the hotel gave us very tasty small cookies, with a rich milk flavor, very thoughtful indeed. It's less than 200 kilometers from Kunming to Yuanmou, and this hot spring hotel can be considered an excellent vacation spot nearby, right? It's great for bringing kids to play in the water on weekends, and they can also learn some historical knowledge (Yuanmou has various sites related to the Yuanmou Man and the Earth Forest).
