People on a journey, Wenzhou Yongjia Nanxi River Nanxi River, formerly known as Oushui, originates from Huanglikeng at the junction of Yongjia and Xianju. It winds thousands of turns between the Kuocang Mountains and the Yandang Mountain range, flowing from north to south through the heart of Yongjia and directly into the Ou River. After the "War of the Eight Princes" in the Western Jin Dynasty, Sima Rui moved the capital to Jianye in the first year of Yongjia. In the fifth year of Yongjia, the Xiongnu and Di people destroyed Luoyang, and "sixteen or seventeen young men and women from the Central Plains fled to Jiangzuo to escape the chaos." To avoid the war in the north, many northern scholars and civilians crossed the river and moved south, historically known as the "Yongjia Southward Migration." Northern aristocrats, upon encountering the beautiful landscapes of the south, were continuously inspired to create. Eastern Jin poets gradually incorporated elements of nature into their mysterious poetry, forming the landscape poetry school. Xie Lingyun used the technique of writing what he saw to create landscape poetry, eventually establishing a distinct style. Xie Lingyun is also known as the founder of the landscape poetry school. In the third year of Yongchu in the Southern Song Dynasty, Xie Lingyun served as the governor of Yongjia, and his family later relocated there. The Yandang Mountains and Nanxi River also contributed to the formation of the landscape poetry school.
