I recently took advantage of the blooming season and embarked on a romantic peach blossom viewing trip to Yangzhou. My first stop was Pishi Street, followed by a spring outing to Slender West Lake. It was so beautiful I didn't want to leave! Here's my itinerary👇 🚗Transportation Guide ✈️Airplane: After arriving at Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport, take the airport bus to the city center, then transfer to a bus or taxi to Pishi Street. You can take the Yangtai Airport Yangzhou Line bus to Wenchang Pavilion and transfer to Bus No. 26, the whole journey takes about 1.5 hrs. A taxi takes about 40 mins and costs around CNY 100. 🚄High-speed Rail: After arriving at Yangzhou East Railway Station, take Tourist Bus No. 1 directly to Pishi Street, the journey takes about 50 mins. A taxi takes about 30 mins and costs around CNY 50. 🌸Peach Blossom Viewing at Pishi Street Pishi Street is full of artistic atmosphere. The ancient street, combined with the peach blossoms, is filled with the gentleness of spring. The peach blossoms along the street peek out from the branches, complementing the antique buildings. There are also coffee shops and cultural and creative stores dotted along the street, making it a super photogenic spot! You can buy a peach blossom popsicle on the street and stroll along, enjoying the pleasant spring atmosphere. 🌳A Day Trip to Slender West Lake A 15-min taxi ride from Pishi Street will take you to Slender West Lake, where you can embark on a spring-limited outing. The peach blossoms of Slender West Lake bloom freely along the long embankment, intertwining with the weeping willows, like a dreamy painting. Walk to the Twenty-Four Bridges to see a large area of peach blossoms. Taking photos on the bridge is absolutely stunning, as if you've stumbled into a paradise of peach blossoms. You can also take a sculling boat, listen to the boatwoman tell stories of Yangzhou, and enjoy the peach blossoms from the water - leisurely and carefree. 🎈Nearby Attractions 1. Daming Temple: Very close to the west gate of Slender West Lake, about a 10-min taxi ride. This temple has a long history, and the peach blossoms within complement the ancient temple buildings, creating a serene and beautiful scene. Climb the Qiling Pagoda for a bird's-eye view of Yangzhou's spring scenery. 2. Dongguan Street: A 15-min taxi ride from Slender West Lake. This ancient street offers a variety of Yangzhou specialties, such as Yangzhou fried rice and sweet-scented osmanthus lotus root starch. Enjoy the lively atmosphere as you eat and stroll. 3. He Garden: Known as the "Best Garden of the Late Qing Dynasty," it features a unique architectural style.
