In the Qing Dynasty, to welcome the repeated visits of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong to the south of the Yangtze River, Yangzhou's salt merchants spent a fortune to dredge the river, plant flowers and trees, and build pavilions and towers along the riverbanks, forming its current appearance. It is named 'Slender West Lake' because of its slender shape. Entering the Slender West Lake and boarding a painted boat to slowly move along the lake, the lake surface is winding, the water is clear to the bottom, and along the way, there are pavilions and towers, peach blossoms and willows...
